Thanks! I used a nail polish block, started with the harshest part, then went on to the medium and finally the softest part. You probably have one of these already, but they sell them in every drugstore anyway.
This only works with plexi, found on most vintage watches, though. It gets scratched very easily, but if the scratches are too deep, you are better off with replacing the glass. It's very cheap as it's plastic; I paid around $20 the last time.
