Hey, I just looked at some amazon listings, trying to find the silicone molds that Paula Wolfert mentions, and this one has good reviews. One of them says that this works better than most silicone molds because it’s infused with metal particles.
You honestly don't need to buy those overpriced and totally unnecessary copper molds. I'm a pastry chef and I make them all the time. I borrowed some copper molds once and even used the traditional beeswax method and I found there is hardly any difference between using copper molds and silicone. Get some silicone molds...they work great, they are easier to use and affordable. The only thing you need to remember is that they take longer to bake in a silicone mold. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0045U9Q6U/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?keywords=silicone%20canele&qid=1393987636&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3&tag=delvkitc-20
EDIT: I'm pretty sure anyone who has invested in copper molds would let them go much below the price they originally paid for them anyway. I know I wouldn't.
