If you don't want to deal with Newegg's dead pixel policy you can get it for $10 more at Amazon:

Acer Nitro 23.8-inch VG240Y Black for Rs. 11k. Should I go for it?
Will be primarily used for playing RPG games and netflix.
If you're going for a 24 inch monitor the Acer Nitro is a pretty good one at a reasonable price. As you're looking for a gaming monitor it's probably best to go for one that has a 75mhz refresh rate, but that's up to you. If you wanna go a bit cheaper the Iiyama G-master is up there as well, but I'm not really familiar with that one. If you're looking to get a curved monitor, the Samsung C24F390FHU could be the one for you. Not the most expensive out there but also not quite hitting that 75mhz which is great for gaming. I wish you good luck! It took me a while to find my perfect monitor but at last I found this one at a very low price so I decided to go with it and haven't regretted it since.
The Nitro VG240Y bmiix is also on sale, on Amazon for $119.99. (It was also at Newegg for that price, but appears to be OOS there and anyway Newegg has a terribad monitor return policy.) I got one a few days ago and so far it's great. YMMV though as I don't really play FPS.
Main differences, other than being $30 cheaper, is that the bmiix is only 75Hz but does have 300 cd/m2 brightness, instead of 144Hz and 250 cd/m2. The bmiix also has 2xHDMI instead of 1xHDMI and 1xDP. Size, panel type, response time, Freesync are all the same.
As someone noted keep in mind that review you posted isn't for this monitor. Acer (to be honest monitor makers in general) for some reason prefer name confusion.
That review is for this monitor - https://www.amazon.com/Acer-VG240Y-bmiix-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07CYJ47JB/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ACER+Nitro+VG240Y&qid=1568787471&s=gateway&sr=8-2
Acer Nitro VG240Y bmiix (75hz, older release since 2018, not sure panel maker)
ACER Nitro VG240Y Pbiip (144hz, just released in the last 1-2 month range)
Ah, I see. Apologies, I was looking at this one.
Mi current monitor is 768p. But I can use AMD Virtual Super Resolution to downscale 1080p. I did a recent FH4 benchmark and I was honestly mindblown from the results.

Edit: Im looking to save up now to buy sometime in Q3 or Q4 2019 this monitor, depends on me being able to save the money for it.
Of course, just offering suggestions. I think Asus has pretty good monitors too.

It's $148.00 on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/Acer-VG240Y-bmiix-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07CYJ47JBIt's a monitor that's over a year old and was ~$180 during 2018 Black Friday so... only the future will know.
My two cents, unless you're playing games with two monitors or have OCD to the point that the monitors need to match, just get a lower Hz monitor as a second monitor.
Edit: I linked the wrong model
Yikes I was wrong. That one is currently on sale for $151! I've been out of the monitor game for awhile. That's crazy specs for the money

No, it's only 60hz.
