How about the acer spin 5 ? 2 in 1 and with powerful enough for your usage.

u/elvinelmo · 2 pointsr/SuggestALaptop

The 2 in 1 feature does not give you the best value for money so getting a dedicated GPU almost impossible to get with it. The Lenovo yoga is a good system to get, it has a quad-core CPU and lots of RAM which will let you multitask seamlessly as well as edit photos and videos.

Screen Size : 15 inches

Processor : Core i5-8250U

Graphics : Intel HD Graphics

RAM : 16 GB

Weight : 4.17 lbs

Storage Type : 512 GB SSD

Alternately, the Acer Spin 5 has a better CPU as well as a decent GPU but no SSD

Hey,

Since you're looking for a 2-in-1 as a bonus, how about the Acer Spin 5? It is on sale and has:

  • i7-8550U 4-core processor

  • 8 GB of RAM

  • 1080p 15.6" touchscreen display

  • GTX 1050 4 GB graphics card

  • Weight of 4.9lbs and battery life up to 10 hours

The laptop runs Windows 10 Home. The laptop's GTX 1050 graphics card should be just enough for playing most games on fair settings. It will also be fine for CAD/programming and general use.

Hey! So you’re looking for around a $1000 laptop with a 1050 or higher, most likely with 16Gb of DDR4 Ram, and i7- 8750H would be great, with some nice looks. generally Dell has the least in your face “IM A GAMING LAPTOP” looks so this list may have a couple

There are some options around that price point, but everylaptop with have different tradeoffs between Heat, Size, Looks, Power, Battery life, etc.

  1. $800 Dell Inspiron G5587-5859BLK-PUS I’m including this one mainly because the price caught my eye. Specs: i5 8300H, 8GB DDR4 Ram, 128Gb SSD + 1Tb HDD, GeForce GTX 1060 -6gb.

  2. $1265 Dell 7855 G7 15 this laptop is a little more expensive, but it one of the sleeker looking laptops for gaming. Specs: i7-8750H, 512 SSD, 16Gb DDR4, GeForce GTX 1060 6Gb. (Ps, I saw an add for this at $1050, so maybe there is a better deal than on amazon)

  3. $1050 2019 Dell G3 keeping with Dell this is the generation before the one above, main difference will be the downgrade from a 1060 -> 1050 Ti. Specs: i7-8750h, 512SSD, + 1tb HDD, 16Gb DDR4, GTX 1050 ti

  4. $1050 Acer Spin 5 This one is an interesting one, because it can also convert into a tablet, not a common feature for gaming laptops. It is fairly nicer looking, but also only has a HDD drive which is much slower than an SSD, however it also is at a reduced price at the moment Specs: i7-8550U, GeForce GTX 1050, 8GB DDR4, 1Tb HDD

I hope one of these caught your eyes. Often what each person values in a laptop varies greatly, so just keep looking and you’ll find something

Hi. For now the only option would be Acer Aspire e15 as it is the only laptop with a GPU under $600.

An alternative to your dream laptop would be Acer Spin 5. It only has an HDD but it also has an empty m.2. slot for SSD.
