Good cross training shoes (training for strength, speed, skill) need ankle support and good grip decent flexibility and sturdy and not be too spongy or too archy cause it makes weight lifting especially legs difficult and or less productive. Also, being lightweight and breathable.
Boxing cross trainers are really good all around shoe if you are going to be doing a lot of different types of workouts in them i.e. the following 3
They r in order of top rated and most to least expensive.
Adidas Pro Bout Boxing Boot, US6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089B5RMI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_s2KxDbMRAYNFA

If you are mostly going to stick to weightlifting and caliestenics work having a flat sole and lightweight shoe with moderate flexibility is a pretty mix to go for but i wouldnt recomend much in the way of cardio with the following, (probably not the best for long distance running for example) decent for jumprope or stair climbing though
Hightop Converse allstars or pf flyers
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top Core Colors (6,0 D(M), Classic Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWTMEBY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_j5KxDbRMZ5J8S
Or even Vans and some Asics

If you are going to do mostly a lot of hard impact running you should maybe go for tennis, basket ball, and cross country shoes due to the shock absorbent soles and slightly wider base of the shoes to distribute the shock a bit more evenly. The higher arches generally found in these types of shoes make some weight lifting less than desireable i.e. the squats and deadlifts for example due to forcing you to be in an awkward center of gravity like putting more of ur balance and weight onto the balls of your feet versus the heels which is good for running and sprinting and cycling and jumping (jumprope, tennis, basketball) but not for squats and weight lifting because you are supposed to load your weight on your heels for compound movements to have the appropriate load bearing distribution on your body and fully engage your core to prevent injury.

It all really depends on what you are doing.
If you are going to be rock climbing a lot get good rock climbing shoes. If you are going to hike a lot get good hiking boots. Most timerland boots are reliable and comfortable and designed for that. If you are going to train on grass a lot i would reccomend soccer cleats or turf shoes. Like the adidas mundiales or the nike predators.
I myself own a decent mix
For most all around training i use the adidas box hog 2.
For pure weightlifting or calisthenics i wear my converse.
For soccer and grass and turf training i wear my adidas mundials.
For hiking and bouldering i wear my timberland hiking boots.
For casual going out i wear doc martens usually.
For hospital work i wear some really cheap but super comfy sneakers with thick gel inserts cause you are standing around a lot and walking a lot. For 12 hours at a time. Before i worked in the hospital i was an emt and wore steel toe workboots geared toward firefighters and paramedics with gel inserts.
For everything else there's mastercard. Jk.
