Without question it's my Trekz Aftershokz open-ear headphones! It's a bone-conduction headset so my ears are completely open to hear everything that's going on around me. I tend to run on multi-use trails so bikers zip by and not all of them give a warning. With the Jaybird x3s I used before this, sometimes they'd surprise me...and it's a safety issue. But the Aftershokz, I can hear cars when I run in the neighborhood, bikers on the trails, etc. Changed my runs so much we got my wife one.

And you can use foamie earplugs if you need to block out ambient sounds, like on a plane or on a gym treadmill. The sound from the Aftershokz actually gets better (and louder) when you plug your ears with your fingers or an earplug.

Absolutely my favorite piece of gear that's not the standard shoes or sunglasses or whatever.

You'd probably feel the same thing if you were to take a vibrator to your butthole, except to the rhythm of the beat instead of whatever vibration setting your hole plower has.

There are headphones that work through bone transmission all do so by actually having contact with a more boney part of your body, like right behind your ear or that bone that's right above where your bottom jaw connects.

The haptic feedback vests/subpacks make it feel like your whole body is vibrating as if you were standing a foot away from woofer tower at a massive rave. I'm not seeing how a buttplug would be able to reproduce that amount of vibration without being.... challenging to get in.

Definitely wouldn't ride with earbuds in. Used to have a speaker like that and it was alright, when it finally broke I tried a pair of these and absolutely love them. Use them for running as well.

This is the set I got, they seemed to be recommended for hearing aid wearers, but there are cheaper options.

It only takes about half an hour to charge them for 6 hours of use, so I'm pretty happy with them.

I have a pair of Aftershokz and they're pretty cool. They aren't over ear, but there's no way for them to slip off.
