$20 off with Google Express makes it $149.99.

Not sure why Best Buy website doesn't say IPS, but everywhere else does (Amazon, AOC web)

u/TheTidBits · 6 pointsr/buildapcsales

The biggest difference is color accuracy and production on IPS panels absolutely eclipse VA panels. If you want something not expensive that looks pretty take a look at this for 1080p and this for 1440p

u/Berlchicken · 3 pointsr/buildapc

Slightly related but unrelated. I'm looking to pick up a 1440p IPS monitor for gaming and photo editing, specifically this one. What kind of AMD graphics card do you think I would need to keep up a good framerate etc.

> also, windows 10, need purchasing or can you download free anywhere?

You don't have to activate the windows license to use windows. It is essentially free.

Is (adobe suit, solidworks, 3ds max and keyshot) CAD or rendering color-sensitive work? 32 inch, good response time, 1440p, 75hz. Only 300 aud or 203 USD. I use it and I love it

u/optimal_909 · 2 pointsr/Monitors

Was it this monitor? If yes, I think it is the sweet spot - I have it with a 1080ti and it was a great decision. I figured that for high refresh rate you need G-Sync, so going 144hz properly will cost you 2+ times as much at least. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-Q3279VWFD8-32-Monitor-LED/dp/B07CG41Y8Z

To be honest, you have WAY more options than those for 1440p and under 300 bucks. Just go on newegg and search monitors, for price say 0-300 and then for resolution 2560x1440. You'll get a LOT of options all under 300. Some 60hz, some 75hz.

this "AOC Q3279VWFD8 32" Quad HD IPS 2K FreeSync Gaming Monitor" is a 32" option for the same price & specs on amazon. It has an english review aswell here. The catch for it is slow delivery time, it would be £230 with a standard delivery time.

close enough? I have this monitor now and am very happy with it. 75hz not 144hz, but you can't get everything at that price point.

Ty for detailed response. I found something like this

https://www.amazon.com/AOC-Q3279VWFD8-Monitor-Free-Sync-Panel/dp/B07CG41Y8Z#customerReviews

It has ips panel, 2k resolution and 32" widescreen with 75hz refresh rate.

I am using 21,5" benq monitor atm. This will be a big jump for me in terms of screen size. I am sitting pretty close to the monitor, don't know if it would irritate me when playing long sessions.

I am also checking your suggested models.

u/hitlersrighttesticle · 1 pointr/Monitors

I would prioritize 144 Hz over 1440p. Most people say that going to 144hz is a greater improvement than going to 1080p. Also, I think for your budget, a 144hz 1080p monitor is much more likely.

Have you considered a VA panel like the Viotek gn27db? Its a good midpoint between TN and IPS, so great for gaming and work.

I am guessing you want freesync. If you are set on a 1440p IPS panel that's not 144hz, then this is your best option.

u/In2Playin · 1 pointr/buildapc

Your missing out a lot,

your Graphics card could ran 1440p )that's what I have) depending on what games you play, if you play really demanding games it wouldn't ran on max settings but pretty great too.

this is what I have and it's really great: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-Q3279VWFD8-Monitor-Free-Sync-Panel/dp/B07CG41Y8Z?th=1 Warning It is HUGE (32")!!!

the resolutions mean what is the HDMI port capable of, the actual resolution of the TV is 1366x768 (that's a bit over HD so pretty bad)

And the "p" at the end of the resolutions means every frame (most likely 1/60 seconds) is a fully displayed picture

The "i" means that every frame (most likely 1/60 seconds) are refreshed lines of every other pixel = "more" FPS per "same" bandwidth

More on the "p" and "i" here: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiP0Max16DiAhUPaVAKHc0wB8gQwqsBMAJ6BAgcEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DH_o5h5SK_70&usg=AOvVaw0TRIHFK4_2rEke1wKgsZVp

Clupean's build represents the maximum value you can get for the price with all good quality parts. Just add this cheaper 2070 Super: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/NxrYcf/msi-geforce-rtx-2070-super-8-gb-ventus-oc-video-card-rtx-2070-super-ventus-oc

And this VG power supply:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/K3Jtt6/be-quiet-pure-power-11-cm-600-w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-bn298

To be honest I think you're really going way too hard and fast if this is your first build. You should consider getting a solid 1440p monitor and a more affordable graphics card.

If you really want to go high refresh rate, two things: Just because you have 144hz monitor, doesn't mean you need to get a graphics card that can push 144 frames in every game to enjoy it. You will have a great gaming experience at 80-120fps.

Second thing: You can switch a few settings down from ultra and your game will look the same. Have a check on the videos on Youtube titled something like "are ultra settings worth it" to find a good analysis of what you can change. A guy got his GTX 1060 to perform like a 1070 without having any noticeable impact on how the game looked just by changing the right settings.

Personally I would go for a Large 1440p 75hz monitor like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CG41Y8Z/?tag=pcp0f-21

u/Goggi-Bice · 1 pointr/AskPhotography

Bascially any ips panel with a 99% or 100% srgb coverage, preferably calibrated.

You also want atleast 250 nits peak brightness but besides that, there really isnt that much else you can get for that price.

Depending where youre from, this might be a solid option : https://www.amazon.de/AOC-Q3279VWFD8-Reaktionszeit-DisplayPort-2560x1440/dp/B07CG41Y8Z/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=B0IFOFD9AIKQ&keywords=aoc+monitor+32&qid=1565614026&s=gateway&sprefix=aoc+%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-2

Because its very big and actually 1440p and not only 1080p.

  1. You can check out this AOC 1440p 144Hz display, it's 32" and only around $200. I wouldn't expect to get huge deals on prime day on any specific items that you find in advance though (especially 1440p displays.)

  2. I also have an Acer Predator 1440p 144Hz display (IPS with G-Sync), it's really heavy and I needed to buy this dual monitor stand, otherwise the arm would sag. The only problem is my 24" ViewSonic display is so light that it was really difficult to get the arm to hold it down.
