Looks like it's bugging out and applying the 20% off Twice. Discount applies at checkout!

YMMV as it may not apply twice to everything.

This is already posted on Slickdeals so you better look fast if you want to get anything good before they clean everything out.

This is the monitor I got for my Xbox One X and 3 of my friends did as well. I love it and have absolutely no problems with it and neither do any of my friends. I tried to do as much research as I could before the console came out to try and find the best one and this is the best I saw.

I personally use a LG 27UD69P-W and like it a lot. It's a 4K IPS monitor so the response time isn't as fast as monitors with TN panels. If you're concerned with response time I would maybe look at a monitor like this one here: https://www.amazon.com/MG28UQ-28-Inch-FreeSync-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BYU0GVC/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1537121641&sr=1-6&keywords=4k+monitor

u/Mcfly56 · 4 pointsr/PUBGXboxOne

If you're going to get a monitor get one with the best refresh rate (measured in hertz) you can afford. I have 2 different monitors

The 1080 I use has 144hz and I use this for pc gaming as 144hz vs 60hz is a huge difference with kb/m

I use this with my Xbox one X

Id say 60hz is plenty for console gaming and the 4k looks better but on pc the 144hz 1080>60hz 4k.

When I picked these up two years ago 4k 144hz monitors were like 1000$ and didn't want to spend that much for a monitor they may have dropped in price I'm not sure. If you can afford that that's probably you're best option.

u/fiveSE7EN · 4 pointsr/buildapcsales

Eh? Just looked up the first input lag test I could find, said this 4k monitor has 11ms input lag (advertised 1ms response time):

I actually was in the same situation about 8 months ago.

See if you like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BYU0GVC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Its comes in 24 inch or 28 inch. I bought the 28 inch model last black friday (it became insanely cheap at about $250) and I love it. The picture is great and is has great movement options.

u/Duduostie · 2 pointsr/EscapefromTarkov

You made me wonder so I just checked and no my Nvidia setting are on Default. But I use a Asus 28" 4K Freesync Gaming Monitor [MG28UQ] with the RTS/RPG Mode so big chance that is because of that.

u/polopollo85 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I used to play WoW on a 2013 15 macbook pro till 2 weeks ago.

I bought a new desktop from a friend. Really powerful to me.

  • Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5/3.9Ghz
  • 16GB RAM DDR4 3000Mhz Vengeance
  • EVGA GTX 1070 8GB
  • SSD 480GB Corsair Force LE
  • And Watercooling (even if not overclocked, as I don't know yet how it works)

Now that is amazing, it is like I play a new game. (Going from 12-25fps to 90+, and I think WoW is limiting to 100 by default. Anyway).

    ------------------------------------

My problem is I borrowed his monitor. From what I see, it is a ASUS VS228H-P 21.5" Full HD 1920x1080

And for those who played WoW, it feels "smaller". My knowledge of screens is limited, but I think when I run WoW on the macbook, the resolution is 2880x1800. I feel I can't go to a smaller resolution.

Another friend told me "if you are gonna do gaming, you need this monitor". But all I can see is the same "1920x1080" resolution.

    -------------------------------

What is the advice from this community for a good compromise?

  • I am looking for a 27'' screen.
  • I've heard of 4k. By browsing here and there I found this one which is definitely high end budget to me. People said that under 32'', everything feels "tiny".
  • In a 1st time I'm gonna play WoW on it, then I'll do more adventure games like the Witcher, Tomb Raider, Skyrim, etc. Anything that will be release and be awesome on the "adventure" side. I do not plan to do any MOBA or FPS, I'm too old for this :) My aim is just to play and have fun, not going to the competitive side of games, just enjoying chilling adventure games that I missed by having a mac.

    ---------------------------------

I start to feel overwhelm by browsing topics I am not familiar with yet (remember, I come from a all-in-one macbook). I need enlightenment, I plan to buy a new monitor around black Friday (in sale or not, $200 would be preferable, definitely under $400). If you guys have heard of a similar situation, and could tell me something like "Yeah I have a similar story and went with this monitor XXX, I highly recommend this to you, {you don't need 4k, you need 4k}, the fps above 60 {matters, not matters} for what you seek for, the price is just {$250, $450 but really really worth it, $350 right in your range!}"

It's around $400 though. You could find it cheaper on other sites maybe.

I only started doing research on this last night, so I'm still pretty lost. In another comment section in this sub, someone mentioned that it would have to have HDMI 2.1. Is this true? Would this not work, then? And if it would work, any idea if it would work well?

This is the monitor I've been eyeing for the 1X. Going to wait on reviews on hardware options after the release before pulling an trigger on monitors/tvs

If your friend is willing to sacrifice over clocking and the non pro SSD for a standard SSD she could get an actual 4k monitor (sorry on mobile).

What price range? PS4 or PS4 Pro? For my PS4 Pro and PC, I have [this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BYU0GVC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501247860&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=asus+mg28uq&dpPl=1&dpID=51Rr-OvWzsL&ref=plSrch) one that I love. You can find it on sale pretty frequently and the display is fantastic. If you don't want 4K, I would stick to the same size, but that's down to personal preference.

I have an Acer monitor for my Xbox One X and it works great. It has great movement. It is 338 dollars but it's worth taking a look at. Here is a link to it on amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BYU0GVC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's mine. I've had it since April 2016. No complaints. There was a rash of bad reviews for it in 2015, but I have two ASUS monitors (the other is a 27" 1440p) and have had zero issues with them.

u/Trazac · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

In regards to the monitors, here is another comment I made about them

> The rightmost monitor I know is different. After some looking, I think it's this one. So I guess add $30 to the total. The rest, though, are undoubtfully cheap monitors.
>
> It could possibly be this one.
>
> This is the most expensive 24" monitor made by Asus that I can find on Amazon. And this is the most expensive one on NewEgg.At most it could be $3000 worth of monitors, but it's not. My original estimate is likely very close.

So no, they're unlikely to be $1000/each, if that's what you're saying. Maybe in total they could be closer to $1000, but you can see the max values I have listed out there. They're certainly not $600 monitors, but maybe they're $200 monitors.

The picture doesn't appear to be very old, given the inclusion of the Vive, but maybe the monitors are 10 years old each and were $250 at the time (which isn't too different from a monitor I bought in 2009.)

The prices I add in at the end are to accumulate how much I can't quantify. I don't think the desks actually cost $1000 each, but maybe the cost of the desk plus the stuff on it and around it could cost that much. I also, as you say, can't see the inside of the computers. I doubt they're $300 prebuilts from 15 years ago, but I would be surprised if they were $4,000+ rigs too.

I have looked at the samsung its pretty good at $250... but i rather spend $100 more and get this Asus instead. Its $350 on sale at the moment.

Got this monitor a month ago for pro. If you want a beast get thishttps://www.amazon.com/MG28UQ-3840x2160-Adaptive-Sync-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BYU0GVC/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478099364&sr=1-8&keywords=asus+gaming+monitor

u/YoSoyWalrus · 1 pointr/PS4Pro

I'd guess the ASUS MG28UQ. Many reviewers got it for their ps4 pro, and it's fairly cheap (was under $400 less than a week ago, price fluctuates all the time, used is low $300). It is a TN panel, so colors won't be as good as an IPS, however it means it's a great gaming monitor for more competitive games like Rocket League or COD. Goes without saying there is no HDR, as HDR monitors are all like $1000+. I'd still be confident games would look great on it, though.

As far as I know there are no 4K-IPS monitors, 4K is LED. My father has this monitor and he loves it.

u/HuckIeberry · 1 pointr/Xbox_One_X

It has been a while since I had looked into this, but I upgraded my monitor earlier this year for Xbox in preperation. I ended up going with the following:

ASUS MG28UQ 4K/UHD 28-Inch

I spent a great deal of time deciding what to get and this is what I landed on- hope this helps.

u/mrgeologyguy · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

I can get this one for $200 off. Would the one inch and resolution difference make it weird to match it with a 27 1440p monitor?

u/karanchawla9 · 1 pointr/Monitors

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BYU0GVC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_tzP4Bb3V48D4B

I have a 24” 1080p version of this and absolutely love it, it has a fully adjustable stand, a controller thing at the back to switch between modes (FPS, scenery, night mode, etc) and has a built in cross hair, timer, and FPS counter, and for 300$ certified refurbished?!?!?

u/ErahBeats · 1 pointr/Xbox_One_X

I'm considering between these two monitors.

Asus VG278Q & Asus MG28UQ

Both on sale for the same price ($379.99) & both support FreeSync via HDMI.

Let me know what you think.

u/Bray4ever8 · 1 pointr/xboxone

You're right. Someone else had said that to me and told me to go with this one instead.

https://www.amazon.com/MG28UQ-28-Inch-FreeSync-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BYU0GVC/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

u/Honest_Abez · 1 pointr/xboxone

FreeSync over HDMI is the only problem.

This ASUS monitor is a TN panel with one HDMI 2.0 input and 1 ms response time.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/CruciblePlaybook

YES! And there are 4K gaming monitors. Just make sure it has HDMI.

I have ASUS 28" 4K
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BYU0GVC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_gcYLyb0V01S58

(It also has on-screen reticle, which I haven't used yet, but helpful if you wanna learn to aim better)

Other benefits having a gaming monitor vs. a TV

  • quicker or reduced latency
  • super fast refresh rate
  • smaller screen for quicker reaction

I used to play on a 65" Vizio and believed I could see further into the battlefield, because everything is bigger (on a big tv). I was hesitant about gaming on a smaller screen that I couldn't see distance, but turns out, the smaller gaming monitor allows full view of the battlefield for quicker reactions (bigger TV you might have to move head or eyes to see left and right), and no issues seeing further into the battlefield.

Overall, everyone is right. You'll feel the difference playing on a gaming monitor. I won't go back to a TV. I even tried playing Overwatch on a friend's TV last weekend, and I swear I thought his PS4 controls were so sluggish that I was screening around with movement speed in the options. When I got home, I realized his control movement settings were on default (as mine has the same numbers), but moving and playing felt so smoother on my gaming monitor.

Lastly, if you love games...do it. Buy a monitor. It's an investment that will make you happy. Then, buy a SCUF when ya can. :)
