Gentleman states the following about his collection:
>I have entered 5,040 discs so far (from silent movies to the present), I have not entered my TV box sets - just movies. My photo shows some of the canisters I store my discs in (I have 65 canisters with 80 discs in each one). The canisters take up about 1/4 of the space the DVD boxes used to take up. I finally have room to grow!
He goes on to say that he throws away covers. Keeps liner notes (stacked on various shelves). And keep track of where each disc is at in an Excel file.
He buys the canisters from amazon and they hold 80 discs per cannister.

Thanks! I thought about the binder/wallets but thought it would be too annoying to turn through. Here is the link for the one I own in case you were curious. I keep a Google spreadsheet with all the discs and their numbers and then it has a lever that you can move to that exact number to pick out a disc.
