note that the S's onboard timer isn't all that great, but you can get this:

to plug your EVSE into and that will allow you to set the start & stop time.

The collective wisdom now says charging to 100% every day doesn't hurt the battery (as long as it doesn't sit there too long at 100%) but I like keeping it in the 40 to 80% range.

16 miles a day should be around 4 kwh of charging needed, at 110V that's about 4 hrs a night.

Set this timer to turn on the block heater a couple of hours before you usually leave, and set the temperature function to 37F. There is no need to run the block heater all night or at warmer temperatures.
