awesome front-end you've got. Congratulations. I gave a Debut along with phono pre-amp to my brother so that he could re-discover vinyl - he loves it. the pre-amp doesn't seem to be available any longer in the US, but this is the closest I could find:

as far as speakers - they are very much a personal matter of taste. I like the sound of ribbon and planar -based drivers [not cone ] but I can't afford those out there now. I did audition some MHi Evidence {$650 / PAIR } that marry a cone woofer to a ribbon tweeter. Very nice. Here is a detailed review + interview of the engineer. You get a feeling for the sonic signature and the man whose personality is responsible.

I've heard good things about the Audio Technica that amazon had for $46 until last week.

Check out needledoctor.com if you want the "quality" preamps. I think I'll be spending quite a bit more than $50 on mine.
