Pliers - a few different kinds. I recommend this set ( http://www.amazon.com/Beadalon-7-Piece-Tool-Pouch-Econo/dp/B00164SF6U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411796023&sr=8-1&keywords=jewelry+making+tools ).
Flush Cut Pliers (Wire cutters): These are the most important ones, as they are for snippin' your wires. They're kind of a big deal.
Round Nose Pliers, like these: These are great for bending wire. Pretty much, they kick ass.
Chain Nose Pliers: Flat on the inside of the jaws, rounded on the outside of the jaws. Again, pretty awesome.
Those three will cover pretty much all of your wrapping needs!
I got the case on Amazon. I added the ceramic tweezers and screwdriver but it comes with everything else. I looked around for awhile before I found this one. All the others are too expensive or wouldn't look right with everything added.
Something like these?

None of those have a zippered pouch, which sounds awesome. I had the best luck searching for "tool storage pouch".

actually, "Zipper tool case" is coming back with some strong results.
I have mad ninja cheap bastard skills and didn't pay anywhere near $45, but I see your point.
With that said, you could pick this up for $10 and some change: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00164SF6U
and then snag a set of dollar tree mini screwdrivers for double duty as screwdrivers and a coil jig if needed.
Ceramic scerewdrivers are ridiculously handy, but not entirely necessary.
I bought this kit for travel and it has worked quite well so far. The scissors are awesome and the clear containers are great for pre-made coils, wick, etc...
I've picked up all the supplies already, I got a Rebuilders Kit, Wire, Cotton, Ohm Reader, and Coil Jig.
Just making the tank choice is hard!

Take out the flat bar thing. And move the tweezers to the Velcro straps around the boxes. Then get a mini screwdriver set and put your 3 most used screw drivers in the loops. You might want to replace the wire cutters because they kinda suck. The little boxes can be used to store small screw's and coils and whatever. It's a pretty great mobile setup.
Those little bottle necklaces are gorgeous!!!! I just love them! This kit is cool because I wanted to start wire crafting! I do hope you continue when you have the time and means! Lunar Supplies.
I bought one of these Beadalon Kits and it is comes with all tool you need at a low price. Only other thing you need is some wire, I suggest 26g kanthal as it is very versatile, and some Puffs cotton. I still have a bag I bought 3 years ago.
For an affordable first mech mod setup I would suggest a Stingray, Penny, Akuma or Nemesis clone for your mod.

As for you atty there are some decent clones out there but one that has been getting popular and is an affordable authentic is the Mutation X.
It's got a deep well and awesome adjustable airflow.

Otherwise you could get a clone rda of a plume veil, tugboat, tobh, or patriot.
Then a very important part you need is the battery. Can't go wrong with Sony VTC-5s but they are kind of hard to find nowadays. You may be able to find some but be careful. There are a lot of fakes going around. Some other viable batteries are the Samsung 25R and LG HE2.
and of course you will need kanthal wire (prob 26 or 28) Link, some jewelry sized tools (pliers wire cutters, screwdrivers) Link, organic/Japanese cotton Link, an ohm reader Link and a battery charger Link.
