Honestly, it's probably best to buy this movie.
The standard DVD has gone out of print and is pricey on the second market and all that is available to buy new is the Blu-Ray. This is not a film that is sought after by many people and therefore print runs for this movie will be low.

Problems, yes.
Natalie Wood Died during production.
The Director, Douglas Trumbull who was also the Special Effects master for this flick, quit doing movie special effects (and the film industry altogether) because of the fight he fought to get this movie made.

It's a long read, but worth it if you want to know about the plans Trumbull had for Showscan 60 fps process. It's a complicated read, but you will really appreciate the fact you can by this film at all as the studio had plans to bury it in a hole.
