I don't know if this answers your question because I'm not sure if you're looking for a specific answer or just anything, but there is an entire, long-running series of books about the philosophy of various pieces of pop culture. There are dozens and dozens of them on popular television shows, and you can find one for Breaking Bad here:

I never thought about that. I guess that social clubs were more popular back during my grandparents' days. I must be a bit of a rarity to have such a strong love for genealogy and history in my generation.

That book does look interesting, maybe I'll check it out after I'm done with this one - Breaking Bad and Philosophy.

I have 'Breaking Bad and Philosophy' a collection of essays. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but it looks promising. Published in 2010.
