Based on the different elements of the code (1DAL vs 1ER) the codes indicate they are both black (1), and I'm pretty sure that ER means European Release. I couldn't find anything indicating what DAL means specifically but it seems to refer to another 'region'.
I think they are basically the same and just have different designations as they are destined/intended for different regions.

I have this watch. It is really comfortable with the 'wings' on the strap. I got a positive model instead of the dark screen negative model you linked. I lost a screw (decorative piece) on my watch as you had mentioned. I ordered a replacement and an extra from pacparts. You can remove the bezel and put some glue on the backside of the screws to help hold them into the bezel. I haven't had any trouble with them since.
It's an amazing watch. I would highly recommend it.
Yes. The metal rivets are the ones that tend to fall out.
I wanted the atomic time keeping so I went with the positive GW-7900-1ER and replaced them with the rivets from the G7900-1.
I ordered the parts from pacparts and haven't had an issue since. I kinda like the black rivets better than the metal ones now...more stealth/ badass look.
