Have not done it myself yet, but planning on doing the same to my scrambler, air box removal/new pipes. Look around on the triumph rat forums. Tune your ecu with this and from what ive found on those forums its pretty easy. Some dudes have posted the ecu map. Or there are links to websites that have different maps.

I actually did not know that the ECU was unlocked and able to be tuned, that post was news to me. Whenever we did a triumph we sent it to the shop next door to be mapped, We never bothered to ask what they were using to do it.
but a little bit of google-fu and I found some useful info, hope this helps. I'm definitely going to be experimenting with this software as well

Costs about $35 for the tips plus you'll need to remap your ECU which if you use TuneECU (free software) and an OBDII cable off Amazon it should only be $20 more to remap the ECU yourself. So all in all about $50 for a much louder exhaust which in my opinion looks waaaay better than the stock setup. I'll see if I can link pictures later.

Pre '12 Triumphs use TuneECU - open source ECU reading program. You have to get a specific cable to connect to the OBD II dongle, and can check codes, etc. But if it was throwing a CEL it would come up on the dash.
You're not being specific enough. How many miles on the bike? You need fuel, spark, air to get it to kick over, and if the starter is working then it's likely not the battery or electrical.
Pull the plugs and see if there's a spark. Is the air filter plugged? Fuel filter sock clean?
