I think it's a safer bet to spend at least another ~10 bucks and get the Cooler Master MH751 (or $20 more for the 752's). I have the 752's and not only do they sound nice, they are very comfy.

Cooler Master MH-751 (They're just rebranded Takstar Pro 82's, but cheaper and with a mic)

Bought this, do not regret it at all. MH752 has a usb soundcard / virtual 7.1 as the only difference.

I cannot answer your question, but Zeos reviewed this fairly recently, which should be considered, especially because it comes with a mic.

u/riotinprogress · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

If you're looking for a good pair of entry level headphones that have a bit of bass I'd check into the Cooler Master MH751's. If you're interested and want to be entertained by a loud mouth then check out Zeos' review

Don't want to make a post for this because I'm not sure what the whole deal is with Amazon Warehouse stuff, but there's a Cooler Master MH751 headset for $72.12 (sounds like it got crunched) and a couple of others in "better" condition for $83.84

I don't think he is being passive aggressive, but rather letting you know that the pricing should perhaps change.

After my previous pair broke I did much investigating and will be picking up a pair of the Cooler Master MH751. Its a bit over your budget, but is also on sale at the moment. I've heard nothing but great things and they are supposed to be insanely comfortable. Maybe the small splurge will be worth it?

Cooler Master MH751 is $60 right now on amazon. Absolutely the best deal at that price

Trust me, surround sound isn’t worth it.

These MH751 are very good for the price, one of the best sub-200 gaming headsets imo

u/doodooOnMyShoe · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

I've been waiting for Amazon stock of the MH751 for a few weeks since all the 3rd party sellers are overpriced but a new listing showed up and it's a new seller but it's being fullfilled by Amazon?
Seller is "Canadian Electronics Outlet" and only has one review so it's probably a scam, right?

i still use a pair of m50s i bought end of 2012. these were the most praised then for a pair of headphones less than $200 and still seem to be popular today.

apparently these coolermaster m751's are highly regarded and only $70. apparently very comfrortable. i dont own them though but if my current m50s break im going to give them a shot. wcs - i return them and get m50x or m40x.

u/Daiterian · 1 pointr/headphones

Hey there guys, I have these Cooler Master MH71 and im pretty happy with them.

I recently upgraded my pc, and I'm quite lost on where to plug my headset. I am not sure whether I should plug them with the splitter or not. I do want to use my microphone every now and then.

[This is the motherboard I have] (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z390-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC/Gallery#lg=1&slide=4)

Any help would be appreciated!

If I were you, I might do it a little differently.

Steelseries makes good keyboards and they're very customizable. r/mechanicalkeyboards might throw a hissy fit at me for saying that, but they're good all around boards. Every key can be customized with macros and stuff if he so chooses, right in the Steelseries software. No need to mess around with AHK.

Mice are a very personal thing. Does he know you're getting him PC peripherals for Christmas? If so, knowing the size of his hand, and if possible, how he grips a mouse would be super helpful. I spend a shameful amount of time on r/mousereview and would love to help you out! The Xtrfy M4 is very popular at the moment if he has medium or small hands. Right here you can see how to measure hand size properly.

If you can't get a precise measurement or grip style that's fine - could you maybe compare his hand to yours (a simple "Hey, which one of us has bigger hands?" should do), measure yours, and estimate roughly how different they are.

If he's got the space for a setup, he'd be much better off with a dedicated set of headphones and a dedicated microphone than with a headset, and it'd be cheaper too! I personally recommend the Superlux 668B headphones with a set of replacement earpads (these ones are amazing, but these ones are still very good while being much cheaper). Then grab yourself a Fifine microphone and something cheap to hold it and you've saved yourself a lot of money while getting him a much better product!

Oh, those headphones will let in a fair amount of background noise, and they'll leak a bit of the sound playing through them. If your house/apartment is often loud or you share a space and don't want to hear his games, these Takstars are shockingly good for the price. If you wanna save a few bucks and not go for a separate microphone, this CM headset is based off them but has an attached mic!

Good luck and I hope he enjoys his gift! Feel free to ask any questions you've got, PM if you want :)

This is often touted as the best gaming headset in the $100 range:

https://www.amazon.ca/Cooler-Master-MH-751-Neodymium-Omni-Directional/dp/B07JH3LSHN

Slightly on sale.

u/Kerry56 · 1 pointr/HeadphoneAdvice

I think you might have to go up to the $80 mark and look at the Takstar Pro 82, or the Coolermaster MH-751, which is the same headphone with a removable microphone and no bass slider.

Most of the recommended headphones under that price are either warm toned/bassy, or are semi-open, like the Superlux HD668b.

They're not bad, but check out Hi-Fi Guides to find your next pair. These are a better headphone at like half the price, never mind that they're a "gaming headset".

u/sedsnewoldg · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Going to jump in and say the Cooler Master MH-751 are showing up 43.39 for me. link

In for a pair under $46 shipped and taxed!

Not sure what you are looking for - but for me the price on a well reviewed pair of standard 3.5mm headphones, this was a no brainer!

Alright.. here goes.

Monitor: I recommend this monitor as my first cost effective choice. It is 144HZ, FreeSync (Nvidia compatible with no real issues), VA (meaning amazing contrast ratio, good colors, decent viewing angles), the only downside is that it is 4.8MS, which you don't notice as no true "1MS" panels exist - this can still push things very fast. Also, you will need to add about $30 to the cost as its stands sucks and needs a VESA mounted stand.

https://www.amazon.com/27-Inch-Monitor-Samsung-FreeSync-GamePlus/dp/B078P57ZWL/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=viotek+gn27&qid=1562858425&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A1BVYXEL822RF0

Then there is this monitor. The stand is already pretty great. It's 1440P, 144HZ, (it's TN - bad viewing angles, bad contrast, ok colors, but incredibly fast), it is also FreeSync.

Mouse: Just get the Model O. It is such an awesome mouse for only $50. It is honestly insane how good it is for the price. It is definitely top 5 on the market.

https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/glorious-model-o-black

Keyboard: You definitely want a mechanical keyboard. Most mainstream options aren't very good. Cherry is not the holy Grail. Here is my recommendation (it has Gateron Switches and nice keycaps.) You can also get the wristrest and mouse pad from them. There are cheaper options, but I like supporting the great company when I can.

https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/gmmk-full-customized?variant=20235337826362

Headphones: This is kind of a mixed market. Many, many different options. I'm just gonna recommend a good cheap pair, but there are tons of options.

A good beginner setup for EDM/Metal listeners who play a good amount of video games? I'd readily suggest the closed-back Cooler Master MH751 for the low price of $60 (it's essentially a rebranded Takstar Pro 82v2 w/o bass ports and w/a detachable mic) --

Coolermaster MH751 on Amazon

The MH751 doesn't really require amping, but a nice starter dac/amp (for both gaming/music) would be the Sound BlasterX G6 for $158 --

Creative Sound Blasterx G6 on Amazon

Total cost: $60+$158 = $218.

If you can spend a bit more, replace the G6 DAC/AMP with the Topping DX3 Pro (if music is a strong top priority) for $220: $62 over the price of the G6, for a total of $60 + $220 = $280.

Hope this helps!
