Not too sure on keyboards to be honest - it all depends whether you want to spend the extra money for a mechanical one or not.
I currently use a DasKeyboard Model S UK with Cherry MX Browns (as opposed to Blues as shown on the link) and I love it. Had this keyboard for over 3 years and I've had no problems with it yet!
Cheap membrane keyboards always work, I guess, and you can get a lot of features (LEDs, macro keys, etc) thrown in there for an affordable price under the guise of a 'gaming' keyboard. I prefer mechanical keys though, so I don't mind paying extra for that.
Edit: Corsair do an affordable rubber dome keyboard with macro keys and backlighting for only £35. It's like the 10th most sold keyboard on amazon. Here's the link to the best selling keyboards. On that price point, though, you're bordering cheap mechanical keyboards anyway.
Corsair K30 (raptor)
Amazon Link, has 6 macro keys on the left which I never use so someone else might enjoy it more than me.

Price wise, i'm not too bothered ~£20 + postage?
for that you could get a corsair K30 keyboard, and a CM storm recon (or a CM storm xornet for even cheaper). These are all pretty good for first gaming peripherals, and won't overload you with a ridiculous about of LEDs and buttons.
What about this mouse and this keyboard?
I got this keyboard as it was well rated and to get a good mechanical I would've had to spend over double that... maybe one day. But I am loving this keyboard, feels great.
