I have two gaming mice that I switch to and from occasionally.
Corsair M65 is my go-to, though it only has two programmable buttons. It's very good for shooters but also feels sturdy in the hand, and has weights on the bottom that you can adjust as needed. I also like using the low-DPI "sniper" button to be more accurate with my pointer, but this is something you can likely do on the other mice as well.
Logitech G602 is my backup mouse that I primarily use with my laptop. It has several programmable buttons on the side as well as a customizable DPI (like the M65) and it feels very nice in the hand.
Both of these are great mice but they still might not suit you. A friend of mine has a Corsair Scimitar RGB mouse with 12 programmable side-buttons and he swears by it. He also frequently plays MMOs, and I do not. So maybe that one would be better for you.
You may also want to check out this thread. It's a year old, but has some good suggestions too.
I have the g502 / g602, i enjoy both, would recommend.
If you want another brand, go with Corsair, The m65 has a nice handfeel and it's surprisingly really light
Get yourself a Corsair M65, its a great gaming mouse for relatively cheap ($50).
EDIT: Also, as a rule of thumb I would say for gaming purposes wired>wireless. They generaly have a higher refresh rate and are not nearly as prone to jumps and skips like wireless mouses can have, which might be a part of your problem.
Fewer buttons and it doesn't look silly.
Corsair Gaming M65. I didn't care about having RGB on the mouse, and didn't want most of the extra buttons that you find on most gaming mice (I never use the sniper button for anything as it turns out my thumb doesn't naturally rest on it and using it would require extra thought and reach). The top of the mouse is still plastic, and after only a few months I'm already noticing cosmetic wear on the buttons. But the body of the mouse, the scroll wheels, and the button assemblies are all nice and solid so I could see this one lasting me 2-3 years instead of 14-15 months.
been using this one for about a year know. works well .

Newer, cheaper, and (arguably) better version. for $54.99. Or find the old one as a used model for like $45.
KB: HyperX Alloy FPS $100 (Comes in Blue, Red, or Brown MX Switches)
Mouse: Corsair M65 FPS $50 or Logitech G502 $80 (For sale on Amazon at $53)
I picked up a Corsair and absolutely love it. I've had a hell of a time finding a good mouse that is big enough for my hand.
I have 2 of these.
Awe, nuts. I didn't think about that. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-Mouse-Aircraft-Grade-Aluminum/dp/B014W3FHTE/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1467051863&sr=1-2&keywords=aluminum+mouse
This looks like it'd be fairly resistant though.
I have a Corsair Vengeance M60 (I think) - those are tough to find now, but it looks like the M65 is a similar price now than the M60 was when I got it. Not too expensive and feels sturdy, heavy, and nice in my hand - I love the metal frame under the plastic shell, the finish on the plastic bits, and the braided cable. Would definitely recommend as a cheaper option than the Razer Naga.
From review videos, the corsair m65 and logitech g502 look pretty small. The G600 is huge, the third primary button holds my ring finger while the pinky is on the side so my hand doesn't touch the pad with no effort
Speaking of which, do you have any opinion on the G600?
Is the g502 any better than the m65? It costs a good $30 more including the m65 discount
Might just get a G600 for myself, or otherwise the m65.
I don't know how much it's worth to you for one thing but..
Corsair M65
Has a rather nice button on the side that actually slows your DPi when it is held down.
Training yourself to hit that as you shoot would be the hard part
I am currently rocking a very basic Corsair Katar mouse. It doesn't have those extra programmable buttons or an extremely ergonamic deisgn, but it gets the job done and has a really nice DPI range, a lot better then the Microsoft mouse I was using for the past year.
Here is a Corsair m65 mouse designed for FPS gaming, in comparison to the Scimitar which is meant for MOBAs/MMOs. I would also suggest the Corsair Sabre if you don't like the design of the m65.
