Woah that does seem a bit high, here was me complaining Americans get it lucky with components prices. Amazon.co.uk is usually my go to place. But I also use a few other shops. Here is 16GB 3000MHz RAM, fancy stuff with the LEDs on it for £90(€109) and the 2400MHz corsair stuff is very close in price, there is also this 16GB 2400MHz for £70(€85). i7 are around £300(€360)

Look at Phanteks PH-TC12DX as a cooler for black and white build as an option. Its what I ordered and looks to be a bit stouter than what you have but not sure if its more/less in Pounds.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/a3o/Corsair-CMU16GX4M2C3000C15-Vengeance-DDR4-Enthusiast-Illuminated-Memory/B01HKF4ZUI/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1487339463&sr=1-3&keywords=led+ram is a cool option as well.

Also consider getting a roll or two of 3M Scotch 35 tape in white. You can wrap your PSU cables for more white for pennies as white PSU cables are expensive as shit.

Just thoughts from a fellow black and white dork :)

God you're right.. damn. I'm building a pc and I'm having trouble choosing ram because they are so different and sometimes prices don't make sense. I thought going for 16gb of ddr4 3000Mhz ram : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B01HKF4ZUI/?tag=pcp09-21
But I'm not sure if they're good since they're kinda cheap. D'you have any advice for good 3000Mhz ram ?

I switched the CPU and added the cooler, THANKS!

RAM is more expensive on Amazon, I have to buy everything from there. These are only $4 more so I switched to that.

Switched the HDD. I do need the storage but I guess I can keep my music and movies on external for now. No harm in picking up another larger one down the line.

GPU: I decided based on these benchmarks that I would rather spend a little extra on the GPU and cut cost elsewhere. I like the additional backplate and lighting. I'm thinking I can get rid of it a bit easier when I need to upgrade.

PSU: Also more expensive on amazon.

Case and motherboard: Those cases are what I would get if I didn't need to keep a low-key sleeper build. I have roommates and don't wanna draw attention to it. I'm thinking about hitting up the stores around me for a used case. I switched to one with fans though.

Build after alterations:

I'm very new to working with memory outside of profiles and only been able to get it stable for my workflow at 2400 with my cpu @ 3.9.

To answer your question about the leather arm rest, it is probably the most comfortable thing I’ve experienced for gaming. Never thought I needed one until I had one. It’s the only reason I still use a razer, otherwise I’d switch to a Corsair.

Oh, that's filed wrong. That's annoying, sorry about that. 90€ is a bit much, given that 16GB are at under 140€ (example).

u/johimself · 1 pointr/GAAB350

Hi there, sorry to hear you're experiencing the same as me! I'd advise you to log a ticket with Gigabyte ASAP because I posted there before here and I still haven't received a response.

I don't know where the error light is so I don't know if it's on or not.

I have Corsair RAM. CMU16GX4M2C3000C15. Here is the Amazon link.

I waited for 12pm to buy them, and some memory sticks were updated, so I grabbed this.

I see them on the list you provided, but it has an *, I hope everything is compatible 😩

The going price for vengeance lpx 16gb 3000mhz is around 60-79 quid. However they are always deals on ram especially. I'd say look out for Ebay and Amazon deals.

I picked this up for £68.99 on the 22nd last month
