It's the same case I'm using right now and I spent $20 more for it!
If you are going to add more in the future then swap out the memory I put in the first build with this from Amazon since the motherboard has only 2 DIMM slots for memory.

Maybe the answer is not simple but the question is: how do I automatically skip this screen? It is currently takes up most of the time of my boot process.

> My current setup includes a Ryzen 3 1200 OCed to 3,8 stable and a Palit GTX 970 4GB. Recently started streaming on Twitch (PUBG). Need to use Nvidia SW to stream (no overlays, alerts) cause CPU is to weak for both OBS and the game. With the nvec encrypt the stream is stuttering. Is an update to a Ryzen 5 1600 enough or do I need a new GPU as well? Is a 1060 6GB a recommended update to a 970 4GB, especially when looking at the current prices?

Reading your comments I see you are thinking about building a pc, with your budget that would be the better option for sure, do you have experience in building one ? if yes then I am not an expert but I would go with this Radeon RX, this Crucial 8GB Single DDR4, and this i3, and that leaves you with almost 100 USD for the case, fans, motherboard and you would be all set.

OK after some confusion: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BIWLFGQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

8GB Single Ranked (which is apparently completely different from single channel........) is cheaper than the 2x4GB pair by a little bit. Not much, about £9/€11, but every little helps. Not worth it for 16GB for me from the sounds of it.

Will Dual Channel make general PC usage any faster? I mean it'll probably all be faster than my laptop, but after putting up with this laptop for four years, I think I want something really fast. I don't plan to upgrade anything in the forseeable future, so would the dual channel be worth £10 extra and maybe having to rebuy RAM some time in the future?....10-15% speed sounds like a big difference to me but I'm not getting a good feel for what that means practically.

Can I use a stick of dual rank ram and a stick of single rank ram?

I already have an 8gb stick and just picked up another stick online in a deal only to realise the additional one is dual rank and the existing one is single.

I have a gigabyte h110m s-2h motherboard.

The best option is spend some extra money now and get something that'll last for a bit longer.

I recommend getting an Intel i3-7100, with this Motherboard, and you'll need to upgrade to DDR4 RAM.

Overall this comes to about $100 more than what you were already planning on spending but IMO it's worth it.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't heard of Super Flower, does it have a good reputation? I'm a bit worried about buying a PSU from a non-reputable manufacturer even if it saves a buck or three.

I was going to buy this 1x 8gb single ranked RAM but decided against it because 2x 4gb is more effective than 1x 8gb and in the future I might not be able to find a single 1x 8gb RAM stick that fits with the current one?

u/TheMadMiner · 1 pointr/buildapc

The 1st gen i3 will never hold up in 2016. The problem is, upgrading your cpu to say, an i3 6100 means a motherboard upgrade, which means RAM upgrades too. Here's probably the cheapest upgrade route which should make the machine a 1080p beast:

Motherboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0165YUDTM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_RAzryb4XB0B0Z
RAM: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BIWLFGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_MCzrybW1ABSNB
Intel i3 6100: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015VPX2EO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_xDzryb3QBBVYT

Total cost: $202

Should be okay, RAM is easily swappable for something faster if that is important to you.

u/MaximizedDong · 1 pointr/buildapcforme

So the cooler won't really provide any benefit then? Also I replaced the RAM with the 1 stick version (I think). Is this the same RAM?

u/iTipTurtles · 1 pointr/HardwareSwapUK

I do, mobo is ASUS Intel LGA1151 H110 Chipset I-Plus Mini-ITX Motherboard https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B018SMJJH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_SshCzbAMXNEE0 and Ram is Crucial 8GB DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) SR x8 DIMM 288-Pin - CT8G4DFS8213 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BIWLFGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_zyhCzbVSJ0GQB.
I'd be looking at £160 excl postage for all three, bought them all last November and have been barely used since.

You already have a case?

Move the build under 700€:

pc-kombo shared list

Type|Item|Price
----|:----|:----
CPU | Intel Core i5-6500 | EUR 195,00 @ Mindfactory
Motherboard | MSI H110M PRO-VD | EUR 55,07 @ Amazon.de
Memory | Crucial CT8G4DFD8213 (8 GB) | EUR 26,99 @ Amazon.de
Video Card | Radeon RX 480 | EUR 269,00 @ Amazon.de
Case | Cooler Master N300 | EUR 43,41 @ Amazon.de
Power Supply | Super Flower Golden Green HX (450 W) | EUR 69,21 @ Amazon.de
| Total | €666.67
| Generated by pc-kombo 05.07.2016 |

There should soon be aftermarket RX 480 that are not more expensive than the reference card.

Alternatively, get 1x16GB ram to be able to upgrade to 32GB later.

Note that the psu in this build is a lot better.
