With the way video card prices are today, I would just buy something like this.

This is a pretty good deal. $625 for a PC with a Ryzen 1400 and AMD 570.

If that 500% is supposed to be 500$, you might want to reconsider (if you're in the US). Here's a brand-new machine, with much more modern components, in a similar price range: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-A933BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Processor-Graphics/dp/B071ZZF7FY

That's assuming you already have a monitor, though. On the other hand, if you're really hurting for one, used monitors aren't crazy hard to find cheap. It's a question of whether you're willing to risk buying what amounts to a bunch of used components that might be at the end of their lifespan, or you'd rather just splurge a bit and get new ones.

Over $100 cheaper on Amazon.

I don't think building is a good option for budget buys given the GPU price explosion (due to mining).

A prebuilt like this works... Look for i5/R5 and a decent card:

the first link isn't bad, but don't get the second link. The fx processors are old tech and not worth investing in. Stick with ryzen or intel processors.

this one has a better cpu and better gpu for the same price

also, you should definitely get an SSD. Either purchase one separately and install windows 10 onto it, or buy a prebuilt that already has one.

this cpu is similar to the ryzen 5 1400, but also has 16gb of RAM and an SSD. It has less graphical power, but is still plenty good for running league of legends. Note -- it's a very small pc.

similar to the above, but in a larger enclosure and only 8gb RAM. Would be easier to swap out parts in the future, given the larger case.

Lookup some videos on what you should look for in gaming pcs man. Honestly at such a low budget buying a console might be best. Idk if I can find a good prebuilt in that range but something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071ZZF7FY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1517812388&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dell+gaming+tower&dpPl=1&dpID=41PlVF-rpiL&ref=plSrch is a bit overbudget but a good sweetspot for price to performance but I'm not an expert so I'm sure someone else could probably find better deals in terms of price to performance I can pretty much guarantee that an inspiron with onboard graphics won't do it though.

How will this perform with world of Warcraft? I was looking at getting a different dell with a 570, but is it worth an extra $150-$200? I’m only looking for a PC to get me through the next two years or so. Here’s the other dell I’m talking about:

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-A933BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Processor-Graphics/dp/B071ZZF7FY?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_4 this looks to not be awful. At just over 600, I would still recommend to build your own tho, if you lived near me I'd even help u.

u/tpf92 · 2 pointsr/Amd

It's saying "In stock" for me.

/u/homeboy221 if you can buy it that would be the best you can get for the money, buying the GPU seperate will probably be $400+ if you can even find one.

If you can't get that then the next best would probably be https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-A933BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Processor-Graphics/dp/B071ZZF7FY/ref=pd_sbs_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071ZZF7FY&pd_rd_r=WCJ9EETZSASX1ZR6HHV7&pd_rd_w=AT7Eo&pd_rd_wg=U5WZH&refRID=WCJ9EETZSASX1ZR6HHV7&th=1

The same one also looks to be on newegg for the same price https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G6D96059&cm_re=ryzen_5_1400-_-83-164-002-_-Product

if you really don't want to go over the $600 price then these are other options:

$540 - r5 1400+rx 560 (rx 560 is similar in performance to a gtx 1050): https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G6D79371&cm_re=ryzen_5_1400-_-83-164-006-_-Product

$550 - i5-6400+gtx 960 (Similar to a gtx 1050 ti, but weaker than an rx 570, more likely than not it's a 2gb model) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883221414

$550 - i5-7400+gtx 1050 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883221437

If you don't mind turning down settings to keep 60fps@1920x1080 the latter three should be fine, but for only ~$100 more you can get a lot more GPU (rx 570 is around twice as powerful as an rx 560 while an rx 580 is a bit more powerful than an rx 570).

u/DZCreeper · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Can the budget be stretched another $136?

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-A933BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Processor-Graphics/dp/B071ZZF7FY

That pre-built is good value. Once you account for the cost of a Windows license for the custom build it is only $40 more.

Alternatively you will have to buy used to get a better value, at least the GPU.

u/QuackChampion · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I think its a bit overpriced. It only has the 3gb 1060, which is a lot weaker than the 6gb version, and the CPU isn't that great either.

This build has a slightly better CPU, and similar GPU, and is still a lot cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-A933BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Processor-Graphics/dp/B071ZZF7FY/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1517793735&sr=1-2&refinements=p_n_feature_seven_browse-bin%3A3012495011#customerReviews

I just switched from mac to pc so I havent really been playing a lot of hardcore games yet but I bought this computer. It was a suggestion from the discord chat. They said that all together to buy the parts separately would cost more, and you can always switch out the parts you don't like.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZZF7FY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2YLYLTN75J8LR&th=1
it is this one right?
and is the keyboard and mouse included too?

u/Yung_Joee · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I have a ryzen 5 1600, and need a new pc for my triple A games in the 700-750 range. Will this CPU be supporting by this pc? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZZF7FY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 (I wanted to purchase it this week before holidays so I was using Amazon)

That computer is a much better bargain at very nearly the same price.

u/baboobabellic · 1 pointr/buildapc

Ok so I looked around a little bit an if you can throw in a max of $100 in, you can get decent performance in most modern games if you adjust the settings. I tried to not go too much over the prices you gave me so I stuck with $700 being the max with more current parts in case you want to upgrade down the road.

I would not recommend any card under 2GB VRAM since PUBG and other modern games eat it up, so I looked at 4GB versions. I also looked for CPUs that are quad-core and can push around 3.5GHz, and tried to find a min of 2400mhz 8GB RAM. Unfortunately gaming desktops under $700 do not come with an SSD so these have a HDD of 7200rpm, which is not too bad but its still slow.

Amazon 1

Amazon 2

Newegg

Out of these 3, I would recommend the SkyTech.

Edit: Also check out HP and if you can stretch $720, cyberpower

u/Duskthelost · 1 pointr/suggestapc

It's a fantastic deal in terms of parts value (the cpu alone is ~$350 CAD new). Especially considering it probably comes with a warranty and tech support. However as the other poster said it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card so you're not going to get much gaming out of it. Frankly that CPU is way more than anyone really needs even for gaming and that's where most of the cost is coming from. I think HP really dropped the ball on this one. I can't really see who their target customer is. Someone who needs a super fast CPU but is okay with being gimped by a slow hard drive? They would've been better off ditching that overpowered CPU for dedicated graphics or an SSD and I think you'd be better off doing the same.

This dell here is 100 cad more and has nearly identical specs with the exception of trading an overpowered CPU for a decent graphics card:

You should also check out the prebuilt route cause the prices of gpus and ram are crazy these days. Something like this is pretty good for the price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071ZZF7FY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wnFHAbMB36QNM, it performs better than the build above and you can add in a SSD too if you want.

u/Trazac · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Here is another computer off of Amazon. It's a little bit out of your price range, but not too much. Pretty similar to the computer I specced out for you but with an actual dGPU that's much more powerful. Linus reviewed it here. (but with an RX580). It has some room to be upgraded as well.
