Clean EVERYTHING. I don't care if the school says you can't have Clorox wipes or Lysol. Keep a stash. Wipe down all desks and door knobs daily with Clorox wipes (I also get the Lysol Multi-Purpose Spray with Hydrogen Peroxide because wipes are expensive). Every Friday, liberally spray the chairs, the doors where they push, the handles, the desks, everything with Lysol. I use hand sanitizer regularly. On lunch I wash my hands up to my elbows. After school I wash my hands up to my elbows before going home. When I get home I change out of all of my work clothes and scrub my hands again. I also sleep with a humidifier. It helps.
Yeah, it may seem like overkill but I have a room full of kids with autism who snot everywhere and when its cold and flu season we go on the attack.
I also highly suggest Alka Seltzer Plus and Sedafed 12 hour. If you have a cough that makes you want to die, get Mucinex and Delysum. Only get the grape because the orange tastes like crap. Yes its more expensive, but that's because it works. This combination gets me all drugged up and ready for work. I only miss work when the fever is over 101.
