Several things in your post make me think 'anxiety'. Maybe focus on stress management. Maybe avoid caffeine and get plenty of rest.

Maybe get a job (near home) and move out six months later if all is well. Maybe tutor children on piano / keyboard.

Developing Talents (and similar books) might help.

You / she might want to check with a disability lawyer. She might be able to do things, even on 'disability' which I think in the U.S. is not so much money anyway.

Hopefully you at least know about Developing Talents. If you live near a community college, it might not cost much to switch careers.
