Just bought 2 of these for less than 1 Anne.
DIERYA 60%
metal construction with bluetooth and USB C

Extremely impressed.

Not a fan of the arrow key placement on the Kludge.

here!

It's some random Chinese board but I like it a lot so far!

I've literally only just dipped my toe in the water with my new basic! keyboard purchase. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the field, but what I'm really after right now is trying to figure out what exactly I need to look for in buying replacement keycaps.

I've come to understand its a "Tada68" layout, and that it has Cherry MX-like switches.

Really, I just want to replace the keycaps with White, Backlit, and Smooth plastic. Where should I start looking? My cursory searches have ended with me not knowing if what I'm looking at is the right kind.

I’m not crazy about the RGB but it’s a great layout. The only board I love more is the Vortex VIBE

A couple more thoughts - in your case, the typical all aluminum build with brass plates might be too heavy to move around on a daily basis for your job. On the other hand, solid metal construction means it's more sturdy. You're going to have to decide if you want the metal build or plastic. Pretty much everyone on here will recommend the heavier, more premium full-metal builds, but don't let that sway you if what you're looking for is something lightweight.

Bluetooth/wireless is still somewhat of an extreme niche within the niche hobby. BUT there are options. Don't forget to search for hot swap boards on Amazon, KBDfans, and KPrepublic.

Any recommendations for a portable 60% or TKL board with browns? I got this one a few days ago, but the layout of the right shift was really annoying, so I ordered this one instead. Any alternatives to these? I could do without the wireless, but the cable should be detachable and USB-C

I remember seeing someone talk about this one being a surprisingly decent board for the price:

Looking to buy a budget-amazon friendly (around $50, preferably less) 60-75% keyboard. Looking for more quiet, tactile switches (basically brown) with functional RGB. Bluetooth not required. Something with future customization, mainly keycaps from massdrop later would be helpful but not required.

Currently looking at the DIERYA keyboard. Please let me know if anyone has personally used this keyboard and can give me some more meaningful reviews or if there are other better options on amazon for the same price range.

I was thinking of buying the Dierya x Kemove 60% on amazon above, but most of if not all the reviews seem to be for a full or TKL version of the keyboard, not the 60% product. Seeing as there are only options for switches and not different keyboard layouts, this worries me slightly - how reliable would the page and the pictures be? This is my first time getting a mechanical keyboard so I'm overly cautious of making any mistakes when buying.

There aren't any youtube reviews either for this specific product - there are however videos for a similar but different Dierya 60% keyboard seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-Bluetooth-Wireless-Multi-Device/dp/B07FZVCH4H/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=dierya+60%25&qid=1568543824&sr=8-3. Another reason I'm worried is that the DxK 60% seems better quality (e.g having PBT doubleshot keycaps while the D 60% doesn't), but literally only costs $5 more.

Is there anyone who can vouch for the DxK 60% at all, or could provide insight into what's going on with the Amazon page? Thanks.

For a controller the one to get is the Flydigi Wee 2. Other controllers like the Ipega 9087 have a similar form factor but they are janky compared to the Wee. The only other controller I would suggest is a XB1 but you said you already have a full size controller and the Wee 2 is definitely more compact.

For keyboards the most compact are things like the Rii X8. Great for controlling Kodi on your TV but not good for gaming. The most compact Bluetooth keyboard that is reasonably priced and excellent for gaming is this - https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-Bluetooth-Wireless-Multi-Device/dp/B07FZVCH4H/

I suppose you could get a 2.4Ghz wireless mechanical numpad like this https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Mechanical-Financial-Accounting-Compatible/dp/B07NTJ78XT/ and that would be more compact but the game would have to support full rebinding of keys. Also at that price it would be better to get the 60% since it is more versatile.

There is the Dierya, it is a cheap one and the keycaps seem to be exceptionally shitty but everything else seems nice.
I currently have an Anne but don't like the acoustics so I'm in the same boat as you.

Random question, might you have any opinion on the dierya keyboards by chance? and at the price point it's currently listed at. Would be nice to have an informed opinion on it, as it seems to be a quite decent keyboard.

u/S-Plantagenet · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Thank you for having a thread like this. I have done quite a bit of reading here, including a lot of the links and suggested polls on this subreddit and to be honest I am very overwhelmed.

Short version, here is what I need:

Tactile but not noisy, I want to feel the keys but I don't want a noisy typewriter. A little noise is ok.

Bluetooth, I ditched my desk about a year ago and won't go back, I use the computer from my LayzBoy arm chair with the keyboard in my lap, I no longer have a desk to run wires across.

Size need to be at least 75%, to full size (No 10key)... 60% is way too small for me. Weight doesn't really matter and neither does footprint, I wont be traveling with it.

Budget is a max of 160$ right now, and I prefer to purchase on Amazon.

I don't need fancy lights, I really just need something that works. When I am writing if I get too much input lag I don't always look at what I am writing for upto an hour, if the keyboard is crap I look up and find gibberish on the screen and loads of wasted time and creativity.

I originally purchased this keyboard, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZVCH4H/ and this bluetooth dongle, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DJ83070/ and while it seemed like quality I just couldn't get it to work, everything connected but the keyboard wouldn't function. It was too small for me anyway, but I guess I got what I paid for at $44. I guess I will go with something 'name brand'?

Has to be simple setup, I am not an engineer or a programmer. Keyboard will be mostly used for writing, reddit, and light gaming like WoW.

I currently use a MS Wireless Comfort 5050 https://www.amazon.com//dp/B014W20C90/ keyboard/mouse combo, and the thing is junk, it has never worked right (Windows 8.1) spotty/odd input lag and most of the time it just stops working at all, It's going in the trash as soon as I replace it.

Thank you everyone for your help and guidance, I really appreciate it.

I want keycaps like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BT6YT3B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3g-ODb611QES9 and my keyboard is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FZVCH4H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zh-ODbE1AR9SR. How do I know if those keycaps will fit my keyboard? If the keys are the right size?

u/jackiemussi · 0 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

DIERYA & Royal Kludge are the first keyboards that come to mind! (:
