> Though I suspect replacing a joystick in a joy-con was probably easier than replacing the digitizer in the main unit.
Considering you can get a digitizer on Amazon for about 17 bucks or from iFixit for about 20 the price difference isn't all that huge, assuming it's really the digitizer that's broken and not the main board. And also assuming you're comfortable enough with replacing the digitizer.
