I do something similar with my 60% and tablet so I can write at lunch :)

Correction: 75%, 84-key Cheap and backlit.

Interesting. Yeah, I didn't know it was called a "75% Layout." That's really good to know since I am very interested in keyboards now. The Drevo looks good, really good link. To be honest, I would probably buy this keyboard over the ANNE pro simply because I don't believe Bluetooth technology is perfected yet. Good find. Surprisingly, the $14 dollar SIIG had a better feel than the mechanical CoolerMaster I tried out.

I'll copypaste my response from a previous thread asking the same question, feel free to visit that thread to check out my justification for this board being the best.

stay far away from every typical "gaming" brand. They all suck incredibly much.
Buy a keyboard like this for 40 $. The layout is the optimal one for starcraft II since it puts f-row closer to your number-row allowing you to hit more camera hotkeys, while cutting away the numpad and some of the nav-cluster reducing the keyboards size allowing for more comfortable mouse control.

In regards to quality, the board is decent. I own multiple boards that have cost me 200 $ +, and the quality between those boards and 40 $ boards is fairly small. In regards to switches, the optimal switch is the one with the lowest actuation force. 45 g and below is best, as it allows you to spam for longer periods without your hands getting tired. In regards to tactility etc, it's all personal preference when it comes to RTS. However linear switches are by far the best for FPS'es, so if the keyboard is meant for gaming go with MX reds.

Hey guys, trying to go for something affordable (under 100 quid) found a few strange brands on amazon that are oddly cheap but wasn't sure whether to take the chance. My preferences are black switches and a red/black colour scheme. Here's what I've found so far, just wondered if you had any input or recommendation on which to get or another keyboard altogether... THANKS!

Nope, I just assumed you have some type of Amazon gift card or credit. Maybe you have limited purchasing power, who knows. Anyway, here are a few very valid options for you:

iKBC F108 Slightly out of price range, but will be the best option I am going to list here. PBT stock caps, $90 USD

MagicForce 108 $70USD and has gateron black switches (smoother than cherry, but slightly more wobble)

MagicForce 68 $60USD and really good if you like smaller form factors

Drevo Gramr $40 USD with Outemu blacks. Not the best switch, but people rank them among cherry and gateron and they are much cheaper. Smaller layout but not as small as the Magic Force 68.

I really like my Drevo link

Its a tenkeyless so there is no num pad but it is a phenomenal keyboard imo.

I love my brown key'd Drevo 84 key but have always been a little paranoid of it and other cheap keyboards. Seems a little too good to be true sometimes but I'm 99% the Drevo isn't snooping since it's just a pnp but I'd really hope this is something Windows firewall would catch. But I don't know enough about how data out requests and what not work.

The keyboard I currently own is this and I really like its size and the switches (brown) but I can't easily buy keycaps for it. What's a good upgrade? I can't spend more than $150, preferably wouldn't go above $100. White or customizable backlight. Thank you guys! ;u;

I currently use a DREVO 84-key Mechanical Keyboard, which I like. It is simple, it works and it wasn't expensive. The biggest issue I have with it is that it doesn't have a numpad or dedicated macro buttons.

I am looking for recommendations for a keyboard that is as close to $50 as possible that has the following:

  • Mechanical - Brown, Black or Clear switches (tactile or linear and silent with higher actuation pressure)
  • Backlighting - RGB or White
  • Dedicated Macro keys

Something like the Corsair K55 but mechanical would be perfect. I mean I would just buy the Corsair but I have heard bad things about the longevity of membrane boards.

If you are willing to look at a different layout, I recommend the DREVO: https://www.amazon.com/DREVO-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switch/dp/B01K1XDTJY

Thanks! They had 68s yesterday on Amazon but now sold out. What do you think about the Drevo Gamr? Seems to be about the same size. Non removable usb, but checks other boxes (under $50, brown switches, arrow keys, ten keyless).

This one but the red switch version

I need help deciding with this:
Drevo Gramr 84, it is cheaper and I really like the design as well, but I can't understand the difference between these two sellers, because on Newegg it wen't from around 80 to 50, while on Amazon it went from 50 to 40. Is it an actual physical difference that I didn't spot in the description (like switches) or it is just marketing tricks? Or maybe it's because of the shipment? I don't know

Two non-tactile keyboards ~40$:

If you like tougher switches (pleasantly grainy):

If you like the smoothest keys you've ever tried (they feel like they were lubricated):
