I have no experience with the Dewalt wet/dry. But I was able to borrow my uncle's Ridgid cordless wet/dry. Used it for mobile detailing and it does a good job. Had no problems vacuuming up dog fur. http://amzn.to/1YavvIl

Even off sale, it's $50 less. Honestly, that surprised me, but one example isn't much of anything I suppose.

This is not a good comparison, seems highly cherry picked at best. The chart claims the following product: Dyson v6 Cordless Vacuum costs $355 on amazon, and $175 at walmart. Yet when you check today it is $249 at both. Obviously you should price compare purchases, especially large ones. This vacuum can literally clean any floor! I've always wanted one but I can't afford it 😂 I hear dyson is a really good brand too!

Once a week, although I'll definitely be doing it way more often once my impending baby is here and/or when she starts to crawl.

This Dyson Vacuum is one of the best household items I've ever bought. If you need to vacuum frequently, especially if you have carpet (or worst of all, carpeted stairs) it makes things so much easier than lugging around a regular vacuum.
