Zupreem is not a good food for ferrets. its actually rated worse than Marshall’s. Ferretvite is also horrible for them it’s full of sugar and can cause insulinoma. Wysong Epigen disgestive support is just about the healthiest kibble for them and it has all the vitamins they need so there is no need for a supplement. It is low is fat so I also give them salmon oil for treats which has many other health benefits and they go ape for it.

It depends where you live. They’re considered exotic so in some places it could be more. I took my ferret to the Banfield vet inside a petsmart and they only charged $45 for the exotic visit and they would be able to diagnose ear mites there. It’s something you can’t diagnose by looking at they have to swab it and test it.

I googled the ingredients for espree and found some that shouldn’t be used on ferrets. This is what I use Earthbath 84002-2 All Natural Shampoo (2 Pack), 16 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AW3G3NM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_URPJDbWJKNF4E
It has aloe too and I’ve gotten shit for recommending it before but I’ve researched the amount and found that it isn’t enough to be toxic for them. I’ve never had an adverse reaction either.

My dog had this same issue, hes around 10 years old. He just wouldnt stop and then we were told about an oatmeal based shampoo:

Earthbath 84002-2 All Natural Shampoo (2 Pack), 16 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AW3G3NM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ARfXCbFH1YPGA

It works really well on my dog, it cleans off all the dry and dead skin and it soothes him so he doesnt need to lick and make things worse. You lather the shampoo everywhere and leave it on for about 10 minutes then wash it all off.

I hope this helps in some way!
