I have a few.

  • Journal - this is my personal "write random shit, hard truths, stuff I did and feelings" journal. This is a Stalogy A6 365 in a handmade cover I bought on Etsy. (The cover was a one-off so I can't link it but it is made from Tula Pink de la Luna Venus fabric in Spirit - it's one of my favorite things ever.)
  • Reading Journal - I designed and printed out a Reading Journal insert for my traveler's notebook. Recently, I decided I wanted it on better paper so I re-printed it and copied all of the books I've read this year into the new one. I thought my hand would fall off by the time I was done writing them in there.
  • Hobonichi Weeks - this is where I have a small tracker each week, basic planning (I don't have much going on, so not much of that), the day's weather, stuff like that. I also use the vertical yearly overview to log my moods / anxiety levels. I will soon be switching to doing this in a Midori undated weekly insert for my TN because writing in three different types of notebooks is getting unwieldy. I'll also be tracking movies and TV shows in there after the switch.
  • Travel journal - this is an insert in my TN, made of Tomoe River paper. This is where I'll be writing info / memories, sticking in photos, mementos and such from my trips to Florida, where my Mom lives. I've noticed that the older she gets, the crazier our adventures get while I'm down there. LOL I thought, since it's specific to my trips to see her (I never go anywhere else) it would also be a good place to write down some stuff she tells me. She turned 75 this year. I've started asking some hard questions. Along with some funny questions. We're at that point, you know? In April, when we went out for her birthday, we got drunk together and had a hilarious discussion about whether she knew I was sneaking off to the pond to get high when I was 17.

    So that's it for now. But I love any excuse to use my fountain pens so I wouldn't be surprised if I add more "specialized" inserts into my TN for other things.
