+1 Also did the cooling mod and my pocket also idles at 44-48C.

As with some earlier posts, I've had pretty good luck with using thermal pads to help the heat pipes make contact with the case (Used this one https://www.amazon.com/Fujipoly-mod-smart-Extreme-Thermal/dp/B00ZSJPZQ2). Also used thermal pads and a copper shim to let the chip (power delivery?) above the CPU touch the case back as well. For this I just cut the thermal pads to make sure the chip can contact the copper shim and then put more pads to touch the shim with the back of the case.

One interesting thing is now my load temps are also controlled at < 73C which combined with the BIOS settings bumping up throttling temps makes sure that the CPU always runs at 2.55GHz if it needs to, even in extreme cases like charging a flat battery (the pocket can actually negotiate 10V charging @ 2 or 3A I think) while under intense use.

The unfortunate side effect, though, is if you actually do this for a while, the outer body and underside of the pocket gets very hot (feels at least 50C) so you wouldn't want to be holding it in your hands (only happens when charging so I think this won't be an issue). But no thermal throttling occurs anymore which is awesome.

I'd go with the 1mm one for a dollar more, http://www.amazon.com/Fujipoly-mod-smart-Extreme-Thermal/dp/B00ZSJPZQ2/ref=pd_sim_147_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=21cA06I6ntL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0XN9JP2G99DTMTB3ZVPX

I honestly don't know if .5mm or 1mm is better, I got the thicker 1mm thinking it would at least squish. Whereas if .5mm was too thin, it wouldn't be making solid contact. But I'm no pro. :)

You also might need two of those strips, just to be safe, I forget if 100mm would be quite enough to cover all 8 chips on both sides.

We need two of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZSJPZQ2
One of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZSJRH22
And for the 0.1mm pads, which iunlock said look more like thermal tape, we could use this thermal tape: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYO3PK9
or we could use K5 Pro: https://www.amazon.com/viscous-thermal-paste-replacement-Aspire/dp/B00UTX7K2E
