I haven't tried the Hickory yet because my regular store doesn't have it (did see it in an occasional store, so I will get some next). My opinion was that the Honey was so sweet that it was virtually inedible. The Original was quite good - tasted like a normal tomato based BBQ.
That said, I've been experimenting with making my own vinegar base sauce since that will get away from the other sweeteners as well. I haven't gotten that right yet though.
The other sauce I use is more of a hot sauce, but it's got more volume than the little drop bottles: Gator Hammock. They make a few different varieties, and at least the one I have is no calories and tastes amazing. I can put that stuff on just about anything. Someone put it on the pulled pork I made this weekend, and afterwards I tried that - quite good, no surprise.
You really need to find one of these places in your local area. They've got dozens of hot sauces you can try. You'll be amused for hours.
I personally like Gator Hammock Gator Sauce. Yes, I tried it first at Firehouse.
Try some Gator Sauce if you ever get the chance. MMMMmmmm good.
