They hold up really well and are a lot more versatile than scrunchies. For sleeping, I try to wear a kerchief overnight, though it does tend to slip off. I've had the best luck with a super soft, tight necked tshirt that I cut strips into, from the waist, so I can tie it around my head. It's not pretty, but it works.
As far as style goes, I like to part it and braid it for my standard "out of the way" do.
I like hair sticks and parrot clips and big hinged, bejeweled clips for nicer stuff, and favor partial up styles, or numerous fancy/braided buns. Hope that helps a little!
