9. Kitsch Spiral Hair Ties, Coil Hair Ties, Phone Cord Hair Ties, Hair Coils - 4 Pcs, Brunette

    Features:
  • THE BEST HAIR TIE FOR YOUR HAIR: The brunette 4 pack is perfect the perfect set of ponytail holders for any hair color! Kitsch hair coils are gentle on your hair. The smooth plastic, spiral construction helps to prevent tangling and consequently prevents hair breakage when you remove them.
  • WATERPROOF AND HYGIENIC: The spiral design of telephone cord hair ties spreads the “pressure” of the hair elastic out over a greater surface area of your hair, which helps to minimize the dreaded ponytail bump that hair ties can create on styled hair. Hair headaches from too-tight ponytails are also a thing of the past! Traditional hair ties function by concentrating the tension in a single area of your hair, prevent damage and strand breakage by spreading out the tension
  • CUTE IN YOUR HAIR, AND ON YOUR WRIST: Kitsch Hair Coils are an everyday essential and come in a variety of beautiful colors. Whether you are looking to match your hair color, or add a fun pop of color to your top knot, Kitsch has the coils for you. Perfect for blondes, brunettes, redheads and any color in between. Kitsch coils also look great on your wrist. The coils stretch to comfortably wear as a bracelet when not in use, so they are ready for ponytail or messy bun duty at any time.
  • WATERPROOF AND HYGIENIC: Phone cord hair ties are non-absorbent, so they can be worn while swimming or bathing without that “nasty wet hair tie” feeling, and they can be removed from wet hair much more easily than a traditional ponytail holder. Also, because they do not absorb fluids, Kitsch hair coils are more hygienic than fabric wrapped rubberbands.
  • SMALL BUT MIGHTY: Kitsch hair coils are 1.5 inches in diameter, but don’t be deceived by their size! Kitsch coils stretch easily and generously to hold up all of your hair in a ponytail, messy bun, or braid, and comfortably stretch to be worn on your wrist when not in use. If your coil happens to stretch larger than its original size, simply place it in a cup of warm water or use a hot blow dryer to shrink it to its original size.

WANTS:

  • Lululemon Boogie Shorts. They are tiny, but I finally have the confidence to wear them and I absolutely love them. So comfortable and allow for big range of motion. The roll down ones are my favorites. Drooling over the pretty blue pair and the herringbone pair.
  • Knee Sleeves. My sister is getting me a set.. really excited!
  • Fabletics Doon Sports Bras. I have one and it's always the first one I wear after I do laundry, which means it's my favorite :)
  • Outdoor Voices Hoodie. I won an Outdoor Voices tank top in a competition and the fabric is just like butter. I signed up for their mailing list, which gives you a 20% code, so I may end up getting this for myself eventually. They are $$ like Lululemon, but made in the USA.

    WHAT I WOULD GIVE:

  • Mesh Shoe Bag. So nice when you have a pair of lifters.
  • No Slip Hair Ties. My absolute favorite. My hair actually stays in a ponytail when I use these, even while doing stuff like jumping rope!
  • Mary Jane's Pain Relief Salve. Not exactly legal in all US states (yet), but this stuff works better than any salve I have ever used.
  • Arnica Gel. I put this on any bruising I get from the barbell after a workout and the bruises heal much faster!
  • Life Extension Fish Oil. My favorite fish oil ever.

Here is my list! This was very fun to make. My dream is to go to Woodward Gymnastics Camp! I adore gymnastics and I have not been able to do it for a very long time. I miss it a lot, and every summer, I day dream about life amongst the Woodward gymnasts and coaches. I do know, however, that if Woodward stops taking adults before I can attend, there are other adult gymnastics camps out there, and that is very comforting.
This was a great contest! lol I never really thought about what I wanted or needed, I just knew I wanted to go!
Here is my $5
And here is my $10!
As someone else said, thanks for the opportunity to day dream! lol. It was between this and a vacation to Hogwarts! I decided to pick the one more obtainable.

THESE! These these these these theseeee. Amazing for keeping your hair out of your faceThey're super gentle, don't tangle, and don't tug (and this is coming from a tender-headed girl with thick curls). using a sports headband to push my hair back, wearing a bandana like this (couldn't find a good picture so it's an amazon post lol), braids, space buns, buns, (if your hair is curly) just leaving it in a pineapple, ponytails, claw clips, that usually helps me manage my hair on days when it drives me nuts. Also conditioning well, using products, that helps a lot. I use this hair mask two to three times a week and it keeps it super soft and healthy which helps me not mind my hair being long as much lol

u/JennaBug6272 · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Hi there! Thanks for this contest! You're awesome!!

The very greates, most-handy, neatest, most useful add on item for me is this pack of hair ties I use them everyday, and they are amazing! I have super thick hair and a two year old, so I don't like leaving it down all that often.

Now, pay attention in class! Also, have a great day!!

  3. See ya real soon!

I budget for a minimum of 24 darts per player. I would buy some Koosh or Voberry darts, but delivery time is now against you.

My group has developed to the extent that every player needs at least 50 each, some pack 100+ darts a game. With wear and tear that gets expensive if you use Elites. Thank god for aftermarket darts!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT BUY THE SOLID HEAD FVJ'S they are barred at all my games as they can leave bruises. Everyone should wear safety spec, whatever dart you use.

/u/Abby89 As for most people here, you were one of the first to welcome me, and I appreciate it and you. You're a beautiful sunshine :)
I made it to work today on time, and packed a lunch today - which is a normal accomplishment, but I had all last week off and took a trip to Seattle this weekend, so I'm totally worn out and need a day of recovery. But nope! Got up, got ready, and here I am to make some money today! Yay!

I'm a runner with shoulder-length hair. I usually run with a high ponytail using thick no-damage hair ties. 2 loops. If I want it really tight I can do 3 loops but I've noticed that will sometimes take hairs with it, while 2 loops doesn't.

Pro tip: (maybe?) I grab my bluetooth headphones before doing the ponytail and pull wire slack between the buds through, eliminating all of the wire bounce and any clips in one go. Just be careful pulling it out as the rubber (on most I've seen) will grab hairs.

I haven't found any split ends since my last trim about 2 years ago, so I think it's working well.

I've also started hot yoga and have been doing a low pony tail with the same hair ties. I think it's time to get serious about my learning to braid :)

After a workout I comb my hair gently from the bottom up with a wide-tooth comb. Before I shower. If it's really messed up e.g. from a long/hard/wet run, I use too much conditioner and comb that through - again, gently from the bottom up. Most of the time I simply rinse it without products, washing about once a week and conditioning 1 or 2 times as needed.

Yessss, my hair is down to my wait and about 4x thicker at least than most of my friends. I can straighten it or put it in 6-10 braids at night to have wavy hair the next day and that's about it. I do take thinning shears to it every 3 months or so to keep it more manageable and it tangles less.

Some tips for you: these hair ties are a lifesaver and never slip out like others do, and one pack has lasted me 3 years so far. Also, bobby pins work best wavy side down, in case you didn't know! If you want some volume on top, and teasing/hairspray isn't enough, this stuff is awesome and cheap in-store, normally about $4 here.

u/fennelouski · 15 pointsr/photography

Did she do her hair that day? Did you show her some of your pictures in a similar style ahead of time? Did you deliver on matching the style that they (probably) saw ahead of time? If you followed through on capturing the moment and processing the images in a way that's consistent with your normal work flow, then I'd say you're in the clear.

If she really wants a reshoot, offer another session at your normal rate. If she doesn't like that idea, you could offer a discount on another session as compensation since she's not happy with how she did her hair that day.

How did you bill her? If you gave her an invoice, make sure to write the full price and then deduct a discount (Friends & Family usually works well). This way, they know they're getting a discount. That doesn't quite apply here, but it's good advice for any future work of this nature.

Also, I'd recommend keeping hairspray, bobby pins, hair clips, and hair ties. It'll cost you about $20 up front for all of those things but you'll be able to save yourself hours and hours later in editing hair and your clients will be so much happier with you during the shoot. Also, I'd recommend keeping a mirror in your kit as well.

u/WindWhisked · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I enjoy running. I do it because it makes me feel at peace when the world is chaotic around me. I laugh because people don't typically associate me with the average runner as I'm overweight and only 5'2". Luckily I don't let any misconceptions stop me. :) Whenever I look at these I know they help me on my ultimate task which is to finish that next glorious race, whether it's 3.1 miles or 14.

Yeah! Look for regular hair ties that don't have a metal closure on them, it should just be elastic. You can find them in grocery stores and drugstores with the other hair accessories. They don't have all the same benefits as the Knotties but it's the most masculine and best for your hair.
These are a great example.

When my hair was short I went with a wide spandexy headband (with a bead of silicone around the edge to make it grippy like this) plus whatever was long enough to pull back in a ponytail secured with a grippy hair band like these, which happen to be the grippiest hair ties I've ever used by a long shot.

It was not an attractive look sans helmet, but it got the job done.

Those buff things look like they could be great for helmet-funk-prevention in addition to keeping the hair under control. If you try them let us know how it works!

u/ButturedToast · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I would pick /u/nayohmerae as my buddy. And it's not quite a survival tactic, more as I'll be her pet zombie. I have long since accepted my fate as a zombie for my lack of survival instincts. But I have promised to become the ultimate zombie, deck myself out in bullet proof vest, army helmet and wrap my entire body and appendages in barbed wire to make sure that if I get you, I get you good. And she will put me on a leash and I will protect her from all the bad humans out there and will fool other zombies into not realizing there is food around. It'll be great.

And hair ties would help me survive (as a zombie) to keep my hair out of the way and less easier to grab at if humans are trying to escape my chomping jaws !

Damnit Daryl! Clean yourself up!

u/ario62 · 4 pointsr/CatAdvice

Ever since I saw the pic of a bunch of hair ties that had to be removed from a cats stomach, I won’t let my cats play with them either. But they love the phone cord type hair ties, which don’t seem like a hazard to me (if anyone knows any different please let me know!) I don’t have this exact brand but it’s the first thing that came up for me in google. Mine are the same concept but j got them at michaels craft store for super cheap.

If you put it in a ponytail while it’s wet, it will have a noticeable bump.

There are also superior types of hair ties. This is my favourite that doesn’t leave bumps. I have thick hair but if your is thinner, you might like something like these. Make sure your hair is dry first!

u/oh_my_glob_22 · 2 pointsr/curlyhair

Yasss! I think they're these or something very similar. The ones I have are the size of a normal hair elastic, and they're black and scrunchie-like, but with sort of smoother material. I got them at Walgreens! Nothing wrong with a little Saved By the Bell realness though. lmao

u/MartianTea · 1 pointr/Hair

These are the ones I got from F21:

https://nl.fashiola.be/dames/accessoires/haaraccessoires/?q=hair+tie+set&qt=1

I think the ones I got from Target are Goodie brand. They are thicker and more tightly coiled like these (but cheaper and included black and brown):

https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Plastic-Phone-Hairband-Clear/dp/B00DN42V5W

I wear the F21 ones on my wrist every day and they haven't stretched out over 6 months plus. They were under $5 for a bunch so my best advice is to find some like that. If you have really thin, slick hair, I can see these having to be coiled around hair more times to stay (possibly stretching them out), but I bet hair spray or dry shampoo on them would help the hold. They hold better in my hair than the traditional black stretchy ones and are more durable (but I haven't straightened my hair in over a year ago I can't say how well they'd do on straight or straightened hair).

u/zxj4k3xz · 1 pointr/airsoft

You linked the balaclava for the goggles as well.

The others should protect you fine. I use the same mask and it's great. Avoid washing for as long as you can. I wash about twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. I also love those spiral hair ties (like these: Invisibobble The Traceless Hair Ring - Clear - 3 Pack https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00F23MMF6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lmbzDbXZ6M4TS) and I put my hair up a few times per day but can still wear it down.

As for cute styles to wear your hair up... Let me know when you find out 😂 I usually just wear it in a ponytail or bun. I can do a French braid but I'm not very good at it so I usually just wear it to sleep or maybe to work out.

If you do buns I highly suggest using either spin pins or bun pins to keep your hair up instead of a hair tie! creaseless hair ties work great to avoid breakage and I hear invisibobbles or "hair coils" work great too. (Somebody else also suggested these)

u/Orangebird · 21 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I can imagine finding travel samples of makeup and supergluing this type of button to the top of the cap or these things to the side of the cap, then threading a paper clip through the hole. You could then attach the paper clip directly to your key ring.

Or you could superglue a thick hair elastic to the cap and put a key ring through it. Even a strip of fabric tied in a ring and glued to the cap would work.

There are tons of tiny jars and things to make your makeup portable, so making them key-ring friendly shouldn't be too difficult. However, I would test cap strength first-- My key ring is tossed in my pocket, thrown on the desk, pulled out of a tangle of other pocket stuff, and generally moves around a lot, whatever I attach to it goes through the same rough treatment.

I posted this last year using two binder clips, and then later updated the design to take the pinching stress off of the cable.

This is a simple girl's hair tie and a common binder clip (any size will work). Wrap the hair tie around the tether cable, then through the clip's handle.

I wear this clip every time I play. The benefit here is that you don't have to put it on your belt, you can clip it to your shirt, your sleeve, your underwear, bra-strap, whatever. It completely removes the weight from the back of your headset and places it somewhere less noticeable like your shirt collar. You will notice the effect immediately, I promise.

With the hair tie, there is no stress on the tether wire and it can be easily and quickly adjusted to any point on the cable as needed. And it can stay on there permanently with no issues.

Hope this helps make your PSVR-ing more comfortable; I won't play without it.

They're the same as regular hair ties, but they're designed for thick hair so they're bigger by default and have extra stretch. I swear by them when I have braids in.

I'm pretty sure these are the ones I have.

u/megszzz · 3 pointsr/curlyhair

I workout in the mornings so I usually shower every morning so i usually just redo my hair.

In the days that I decide I need more sleep and workout later:
Use a non crease hair tie like these
After working out, I take out my hair tie with my head upside down
With my head still upside down, I use my fingers to loosen up my roots and get them away from laying flat on my head and scrunch my curls a bit
Flip hair back over. Using my hands and water from a sink, I go over my curls to help with frizzes and re position the curls back where they belong (I also have a travel size container with gel in it that will help with the curls forming back together)

She recommended them because the coil can hold your hair in a pony tail but unlike rubber band hair ties, it doesn’t pull your hair back (so it doesn’t trigger a migraine and bonus doesn’t rip your hair out/thin your hair line either).

Solid choices, although are you planning on buying the official Elite darts? I think Voberry Darts would allow you to provide your kid with many more darts for a longer time. The fact that they're slightly larger than Elites allows them to be used without wearing down for a longer period of time. They won't need to be replaced as often as a result.

Although, there are two kinks in the Voberry darts; one is that the shipping protection is often inadequate, resulting in crushed (and thereby useless) darts. The other is that every once in a while, a dart will have a completely solid head. They must be thrown out as well.

Despite those problems, the Voberry darts are still a better value for the money than official Elites, especially since your kid isn't attending hardcore wars and likely won't be going through darts too quickly. And even if he does, $5 isn't too much to spare for 50 extra. C:

Let's go for this. It's in my Wife Things list. Thanks for the contest and Patrick Kane is our hero.

Also hip length, and I highly recommend the goody ouchless and Scunci No Slip silicone hair ties. I rarely ever have hair snarl on them and as the other poster mention they're much more versatile! Though for buns I prefer hairsticks or spin pins, as they are able keep the weight of my hair evenly distributed.

As for sleeping I have to detangle, and do very loose double french or rope braid. Too tight and it's uncomfy and causes fraying/breakage too. Sleeping on a satin pillowcase also helps too, as it causes less friction than cotton or polyblends. I've tried satin sleep caps, kerchiefs and such however I move around too much at night to keep them on. Though if you can wear them and keep them on many sing their praises!

I also have fine blonde hair. The best I've found are these

Thank you for the contest!

add-ons are pesky

I could use either this for $3.99

Or this for $4.97

Happy Thursday to you too!

Haha. You mean voberry :P

Every time someone says 'vodberry' I think "... and the snazberries taste like snazberries!"

These hairbands are tiny-ish. XD

I've got really soft hair too, and coil hair ties like this are awesome! I don't need to wrap them as tight, and they don't pull out my hair.

u/neveraparent · 5 pointsr/longhair

My favorite are the no crease ribbon hair ties. These never pull my hair out and they look cute on my wrist.

Just started growing my hair out and got this recommendation in a women's jiujitsu forum: https://www.amazon.com/Goody-SlideProof-Elastics-Black-10-count/dp/B00D8XAVZK/ref=sr_1_39?keywords=hair+ties&qid=1572558484&sr=8-39

These particular hair ties work so much better than others. Almost never have to retie my hair during class like everyone else does.

Technically, a 15 cent gift card towards getting my boys a Wii U for Christmas would be the cheapest thing. The next cheapest is this pretty hair bun maker.

A few weeks ago at walmart I spotted silicone hair elastics. Not those tiny ones that knot themselves to your hair and then break. Big, thick, unbreakable silicone ponytail holders. Bought a pack to try them and they are amazeballs. I put my hair up at the beginning of the night and two hours of rolling later only a few strands have come out. Downside is that the grip is so good that if someone gets your braid between their legs/arms or under their body it's staying there. But they are the best elastics I've ever used.

I have fine hair, which is also silky, soft, and smooth. I use these hair ties in my own hair. They work really well.

u/toryhallelujah · 3 pointsr/running

Also, I highly recommend these grippy hair ties for athletes! They totally do stay put all day/activity.

u/doomla · 1 pointr/xxfitness

I keep my hair just long enough to have this problem. I use these headbands to keep the pieces that dont reach my ponytail from being a nuisance:

And because my hair is slippery, I like to use these to keep whatever reaches the ponytail in place:

They are a generic elite dart from China.

I haven't seen any undersized reports from them. But there are mislabeled ones that have hard rubber tips. And the glue can leave something to be desired like Koosh.

u/eastwinds · 2 pointsr/curlyhair

I'm so jealous that you can do that in a reasonable amount of time. My damn hair takes half the day to dry all the way through! I've found it works best with one of those tie style ones ala http://smile.amazon.com/No-Crease-Hair-Ties-Laurenz/dp/B00BRXTM7Q?sa-no-redirect=1
My hair is usually voluminous enough that I don't have to loop it.

u/fulmeral · 2 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I really like the ones with the grippy material twisted around them. I have very thick hair, so I stretch them a bit before I put my hair up. Here is a link: https://www.amazon.com/Goody-SlideProof-Elastics-Black-10-count/dp/B00D8XAVZK/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1499287479&sr=8-1&keywords=grip%2Bhair%2Btie&th=1

Oh man. Lighting just struck my brain. You know what would be perfect for this? These.

u/myfavcolorispink · 3 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

These work pretty well, normal hair ties will only go around my hair twice, but these will go round thrice and be snug but not overly tight.

If you decide Voberry then these Voberry darts are what I bought and they're pretty solid.

The big 2 to look into are Voberry and Koosh.
It's tough finding info because a lot of things are actually outdated, so I'll try to give a quick summary.

Koosh has 2 specific sellers to use on eBay, BeautifulWomen2012 and Yutoys. BW2012 had issues with tips falling off, but recently acknowledged the issue and made improvements with "Improved Adhesive" listings. Yutoys often had less issues with tips falling off, but still some problems. With Koosh, the difference between these 2 buyers is small, and if you don't mind regluing tips they're a solid choice. Koosh originally had issues in springers but other posters here claim that's also a thing of the past. As far as I know, Koosh is more accurate and consistent than standard elite.

Voberry you can find on Amazon, and I recommend only buying from the Voberry market connected to that link. There are a few different sellers (JLTech1 and CXB1983 I've purchased from) but I've noticed no difference between them. Voberry has no manufacturing issues, but I noticed a slight drop in range in flywheels. These darts are the same accuracy as standard elites.

u/Petit_Hibou · 1 pointr/HaircareScience

What type of hair tie do you use? I find that ribbon hair ties are much gentler on my hair. However, I can't get as tight of a ponytail with them, so I find myself redoing my ponytail every couple hours.

u/an-choi · 1 pointr/Chefit

Long + thick hair here. I put my hair up in a pony with these hair ties. I have bangs and a lot of wispy flyaways as well so I use clips and a bit of hairspray to hold them in place. Finally I put on a dad hat and go about my day!

  1. [This is something I need] (http://www.amazon.com/No-Crease-Hair-Ties-Laurenz/dp/B00BRXTM7Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1L8ON2MX2QPTV&coliid=I6PBSLKF9C8CJ) I always seem to lose my hair ties. I do not know where they go but I suspect they are in Narnia....
  2. Check!
  3. X-Ray and Vav

I use ribbon hair ties. They're a touch more expensive, but they don't do that thing where it gets all stretched out at the elastic, they don't hurt my wrist, they look pretty, and supposedly they don't kink your hair, either (haven't had luck with that one but I have very fine hair that's easily kinked). I went from chronically losing hair ties to weeping when my ribbon tie of three years got dropped in pee. Still miss you, ol' orangey.

u/TalkForeignToMe · 2 pointsr/aww

I use these for my hair (best hair ties ever, seriously. Seriously.) and I always have at least one on my wrist. Sometimes I would find them missing pieces on the floor. Rather curious until one day my lady came and cuddled up to me and nonchalantly started chewing on the hair tie on my wrist... She likes to eat them. I've gotten toys for her with the same feel, but she won't touch 'em. Cats, man.

u/marekkane · 2 pointsr/HerOneBag

these things . they also apparently pull out of your hair very easily. I've never used it because I have short curly hair, but my colleagues have and swear by them.

u/trixie464 · 2 pointsr/AskWomen

Also, if she has trouble with hairties buy some of the ribbon type for her. They come out and hold together curly hair much better.

I have long hari that is fine, but I have a TON of it. I swear by a high pony with these - awesome grippy hairties Normal hair ties just slide out of my hair. Buns give me a headache, and braids turn into a whip.

u/h4pp7 · 1 pointr/Fitness

Can you do a french braid to keep those small hairs out of your face and (if it still ends up very long) roll it up into a bun? I usually do a braid starting at my side part to hold back small hairs/bangs and tuck it into a french braid. This usually keeps my hair untangled as long as i use big chunks of hair in the braid. It doesn't slip out bc I use these http://www.amazon.com/Goody-Stayput-Performance-Bands-30300/dp/B004WPGHNI
