Hey fai1, I bought this EVO pole from Amazon for a recent trip to Iceland. It handled the sulfur hot springs and salt water like a champ. The telescoping section is all clear so it's less distracting in videos and plastic is lighter and less likely to corrode than the GoPro branded poles. The main pole is watertight unless you open the twist joint under water, then it will fill and sink. I locked it before submersion so it would float. When I was done shooting for the day, I submerged the whole pole and let it fill with tap water to clear out residue before opening the twist joint and resting the pole upside-down to let the water drain out. The GoPole Evo sounds like just what you're looking for. It floats and it's not too expensive, and it has a wrist strap.
