Not technically a walkie talkie, I highly recommend Gotenna Mesh

They're on the pricey side, but they work very well over massive distances compared to walkie talkies. They basically pair with your phone and let you send messages and your gps location to other gotenna mesh users (so you'd need one for you and a friend at least). I used them at Oregon Eclipse (where there is zero signal) and they lasted several days. A lot of music festivals these days have pretty decent cell reception though so it's probably overkill though.

The one time I used walkie talkies was for Symbiosis and they barely worked. Could hardly hear anyone unless they were super close. Would be interested to know people's experiences with actually GOOD walkie talkies.
