I am a huge fan of pressure cooking, but if you are using it ONLY for cooking instead of canning, look into electric pressure cookers. They have the convenience of a slow cooker (in fact they can be used as a slow cooker) but without the safety issues. The one I have is awesome. I cook almost all of my meals in it and it is the most important tool in my kitchen.
Just buy an electric pressure cooker. They are also rice cookers and slow cookers. The most used appliance in my kitchen. THIS is the one I bought. It even has separate settings for white and brown rice. I can do a roast in ~ 1 hour and it is fall apart tender. I can make beans from the bag in under an hour as well.
The one I bought is pretty big, but I am a single guy and it has yet to be a problem. Just make sure to buy one with a stainless steel pot, as the teflon ones can peel over time. My last one had teflon and it never peeled, but it is a common complaint on any non-stick cookware.
This seems excessively aggressive, /u/HappyNetty, but I am settled in with the GoWISE USA Blah Blah Blah... nothing fancy at all.
This thing is effing amazing.

Slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice, bean, etc. Stainless pot, you can sear in the unit or put on stove top. Can't recommend it enough, and I am a caterer/private chef.
