I bought this one for 7 USD shipped:

It is not flush, but sticks out much less than a regular sd card. For my Acer C720, the real rub is the machine trying to boot from the sd card. Sometimes it tries to boot, sometimes it ignores the inserted sd card (I'm running Xubuntu 13.10 off the internal 16gb ssd).

So having a card flush could be problematic, at least for the C720.

I gave up and went with a plug-n-stay usb which obviously I have to bypass at every boot.

But the sometimes-yes, sometimes-no booting of the sd card was driving me a bit mad.
