Just get a toaster oven. I haven't used one of these archaic 'bread only' types of toasters in ages, but a toaster oven basically gives you free reign to toast whatever and however you want. It heats up in no time, so there's none of that preheating nonsense, you can make anything you would normally make in an oven or reheat food in it (leftover pizza is amazing coming out of a toaster oven), and the best part is it doesn't heat the whole room up and you can (usually, depending on the model) easily see inside or pop it open to check how your stuff's doing. There's no guesswork, no surprise burnt results, no incomprehensible rules to how it does what it does. You just set the temp, set the time, and go~

For reference, the one I use is fairly cheap and a bit simplistic, but you get good results with it. It's worth the extra compared to what you'd pay for a standard toaster~

nah, crumb catch is on the bottom- there's a little hook thinggy on mine under the rack that holds a pan.

Mines the "easy access" oven. but I think its on other ones as well.
