Alternatively, go down to your nearest Home Depot, get a plant of wood, and make a shelf; it's like 5 minutes of work.
OP used 3M strips so thats an option. Or you can buy one of these brackets from amazon

I do not own either of these, just showing what i found.
Edit: you can also get 2 controller mounts for $10 more for the first one.

We've got 3 cats so I know how they can get. Once they get something in their heads, they're incredibly stubborn and persistent about it. Luckily, my cats haven't touched my Switch yet but there are wall mounts for the Nintendo Switch Dock. Maybe you could try mounting the switch high enough to where your cat won't be able to reach it?
You can also by cat deterrent sprays. Spraying something like that on your dock might help keep the cat away from it. Just be sure to cover up the USB-C connector in the dock before you spray - I'm not sure what the spray would do to it.

There is a company that makes all sorts of game system mounts. They have universal ones too for cable boxes and stuff. The wii is actually just using a universal mount. They are really nice. All metal, and fit perfectly. I have controller mounts too, but I choose to not use them, instead I have a charging basket in my shelf. You could check out my other post with my cable management.

There's a hide my switch dock on Amazon fyi. It's absurdly expensive for what it is and I'm sure cheaper options will soon appear but just fyi.
