It gets to about 1100F but i can never tell as the back just goes to a max of 450 which i had assumed was celsius but...it doesn't come close to 1000F

Also i think thats my problem there...i never got it hot enough nor close enough to actually get some heat going on. So there may lay my problem.

I know it's a VERY dangerous and risky thing to do and has a very low success rate but i guess i just want to know what is a good heat gun to use?
