I would recommend you to buy this book, for me, very helpful. It is divided into different chapters, from pay loans, credit cards, to get lower fees, investments, etc. Pretty simple to understand, well explained.

ETFs are investment funds.

Basically, a regular investment fund buys shares in companies with the money you give them personally. But those often require minimal inputs, like 5000-10000 euro minimum, or much more, depending.

An ETF (it's called an exchange-traded fund) is an investment fund that buys shares in companies. And then you buy a share of the investment fund itself, which allows you to indirectly own the shares they own. The benefit is that you can invest with much less money, and they tend to have lower management fees too.

You can use ETFmatic which allows you to simply allocate a monthly amount that automatically goes from your bank account and then they invest it for you, depending on what your goal is (you can set asset allocation yourself, so for example if you want 40 percent bonds and 60 percent stocks you just change the asset allocation with a slider and they invest your money so you get that).

Only drawback is that the choice of funds is limited, but for noobs that's actually an upside, since it makes things much less complicated.

Also, I highly recommend you read this book to start out. For personal finance, this is hands down the best book for noobs. A bit US-centric (skip the part on credit card debt), but overall, a good intro to managing your finances.
