One of my mals was abused and neglected. Stun prods, yelling, etc. This turned her into an aggressive scared dog at four years of age. Really a shame because shes the fastest dog I have ever worked with and has lots of potential. She gets very scared/anxious during thunder storms. I used a regular work vest and a thunder shirt with her during stressful moments. They really do help. It's important not to cuddle or baby them during these times. If you do this they will become more reliant on you rather than fixing the issue themselves.
