Hands down if your looking for a mech with white backlighting and Red switches this is the best option for you at this price.

If I could get it with any other switch I would have bought one.

Pros:

u/ARCFXX · 4 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

If you want backlighting, I would recommend the IKBC F108 or IKBC F87 (without numpad, I really recommend downsizing unless you use it a lot).

Full RGB, better built than the big brands, and comes with one of the nicest sets of keycaps around, that won't wear out in no time or break like the cheap ones you'll find on Razer and the like.

u/kschang · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

How many media keys do you want?

IKBC F108 RGB upper right 4 keys are mappable to media, and kinda already are.

Azio MGK-1 RGB is basically a K70 clone complete with the roller

I was going to recommend the G.Skill Ripjaw 780 RGB, but they don't seem to have the Blues in stock.

u/moh18one · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Actually, especially with the Black Friday, the best keyboard you can get without spending too much is the IKBC F108 RGB that is currently on sale at Amazon.com for $99.

The stock keycaps are really good (PBT doubleshot) and the quality build is on par with Ducky, which is better than CoolerMaster.

u/whomad1215 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Ikbc. Quality will trump anything corsair or razer makes, comes in the 4 most common switches. There's also a version with a solid aluminum case, but that costs more (worth it in my opinion since mechs last forever)

It depends on what you're looking for in a keyboard. That said, that one would be great, I'm sure.

Also, I was shopping for myself and found the first keyboard you posted for sale without the aluminum case:

u/FLFisherman · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

This keyboard is the iKBC F108 RGB. If you don't want to spend $149.99 on it (plus shipping) you can just buy it on Amazon for $129.99 and free shipping. On Amazon there is also an option for the white case and keys, or a TKL version if you prefer.

Edit: The Massdrop version seems to use an aluminum case, which would explain this price discrepancy.

Edit 2: Yup, all CNC aluminum.

u/dlsso · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

You can get an F87 or F108 for just over $100, which is going to be your cheapest high quality RGB option.

If you want non-backlight the Ducky One 2 is definitely one of the best options, though as others said you can probably snag a Leopold or Varmillo around $120, which will be another step up in build quality.

u/TheLotri · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'm using the iKBC F108 right now. It has all of the things you've listed here. It only lacks macro programming on the board, despite what their site may say. iKBC is from the same people that make the Poker keyboards.

Be sure to check the wiki for more.

u/fouras · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Is it only between those two or are you open to other options? Neither of those is very good.

I would recommend the Masterkeys Pro L, IKBC F108 or anything by Ducky instead.

u/programstuff · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Well now I'm looking at the iKBC F108 as well, so maybe I'm not ready. Part of me really wants a RGB board, but then part of me just wants something with a solid build quality. The iKBC seems to have both but I have never heard about it, plus it doesn't have a detachable usb cord and the scroll lock/pause keys only work with the function keys (otherwise they enable some light mode options when pressed without function)

Cheaper, keycaps are far better, available with cherry mx brown but I advise to try out switches before you buy keyboard (we don't know if you will prefer cherry mx red or not for example), stabilisers also is bit better too.

u/otterslife · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

IKBC F87 or F108 - in my humble opinion, this is a better board than the Ducky

I have the F87 if you had any questions

u/theb1gnasty · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

The ikbc f108 is $30 off today on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/iKBC-Double-Shot-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B01LYUZJI2/ref=lp_15850361011_1_1?tag=slickdeals&ascsubtag=96809902b37f11e68d773a6842ae87b90INT&srs=15850361011&ie=UTF8&qid=1480096757&sr=8-1) . Is this a solid keyboard to buy for someone looking to give brown keys a shot? Reviews, though the sample size is small, seem pretty good.

u/noroadsleft · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

So basically fullsize with RGB? Are you buying in America? You mentioned seeing a K70 for $260, which is ridiculous for a keyboard that's overpriced at $170, and a price I've never seen for that model.

You'd lose the metal case the YOTM has, but you could go for the Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L or the iKBC F108 RGB. Unfortunately the Ducky Shine 5 is hard to come by, because the production has shifted to the Shine 6 (which is worth considering if you can deal with waiting some more).

u/shadowstar2417 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Within that price range, Coolermaster MasterKeys Pro L, iKBC F108.

Don't get a Realforce until you've tried out Topre for yourself, because a lot of people don't like it. It's one of the most "love it or hate it" things in this hobby.

u/TheAverageOne · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Ah, you're right! Sorry for misreading. That said, for the same price you can get a Cooler Master MasterKey Pro L or an iKBC F108 for the same price or cheaper, which are RGB full size keyboards with arguably better build quality and keycaps (although the CM board does not have PBT keycaps). They also have standard keycap sizes (as opposed to the nonstandard bottom row that Corsair uses), so switching out keycaps is much easier.

They're a little more boring looking, sure, but I'd say they're a better value for their build quality and keycap compatibility alone.

Then again, if you don't really value that, and care more about the looks of the case (which I used to be a fan of myself!) and the software integration with games, I suppose there isn't anything wrong with going with the Corsair board. I can't change your mind there.

u/wankthisway · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Again and again I recommend the IKBC F108, it's just no-nonsense in comparison and comes with real Cherry MX keys. Not like this is a good sale price anyways.

u/Sauu · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'm looking for a keyboard around $100 that's as simple/compact as possible, but still has all the regular keys + numpad + RGB coloring... Is there such a thing with good reviews? I was recommended this one but it's $181 with shipping.. https://www.amazon.ca/Double-Shot-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches-K6D75S411002/dp/B01LYUZJI2

u/throwawaymmw2 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Don't really see the point of the Masterkeys over any Ducky, iKBC or Vortex board... or pretty much any other brand.

On a scale of keyboards, sure, the CM boards are ahead of Corsair, Razer and Logitech mainly down to their bottom row (and also general value), but even so, they're behind the rest due to crappy keycaps.

Not with browns though with blues, can't get it to select on the link, click blues.

Those PBT keycaps alone are worth like $50 over the Masterkeys.

Is there a reason the black one is $130 but the white one is on sale for $100? Think I can get the black one (sold out) for $100 from somewhere?

u/sachithyoda · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Thank you for your recommendation! I'm leaning towards iKBC F108 RGB as recommended by /u/moh18one. I'm thinking of getting one with Cherry MX Blue as Browns are too expensive

u/thekillerwitcher · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I am searching for a mechanical keyboard with RGB lightning and a NUMPAD...
I prefer brown switches, even tho I have never tested them. I only tested Razer Green and Cherry Red one and I didn't liked bouth. Blue, because I didn't liked the noisy sound and I didn't liked the Red ones, because I really need a feedback, when I click, but friends told me brown one switches are a good hybrid. I have 100€ to spend and I found the TT ESPORTS Poseidon Z RGB Brown Switch , Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L and the iKBC F108 RGB Double-Shot , but I still don't know if there are better keyboards one the market.
What do you think? Do you have any advices for me? Thanks!

Sorry for the repost...Didn't get the answer I needed :)
