While I suggest following Stephan Buhner's protocols to most that I talk with, there are others out there as well. Overview of Buhner's protocols

This is just an overview, the site is not owned or maintained by Buhner himself. If you do choose to use this protocol, then please do buy the book, or borrow it from someone, as there is just too much information in the books that are not anywhere else - and they are not that expensive.

Dr. Rawls has a protocol based on the herbal experience and protocols of Stephan Buhner, which many people do prefer, as long as they don't have allergies to any of the premixed herbs that are included with Rawl's protocols: Dr. Rawl's Lyme protocol

There are other protocols, but in my 20 years of being a forum moderator, I haven't seen a lot of people have success with the others, although they are an option as well. I used one of those and it was what healed a 37 year old set of tick-borne infections for me, so they can be life savers for some of us.

One thing that I did when I was searching for treatment options was to read this book (maybe you can borrow it from someone, or your library can get it for you?):

The reason I still suggest this book is because it shows that everyone still has different ideas about how to go about healing from these infections. About the only thing that has changed, is that there is more focus on healing the GI system as soon as possible to help facilitate healing better. If we can absorb and utilize what we take in better, obviously we will heal faster.
