That is an F-Type connector the TV socket is a standard UHF Co-Ax socket you can get adapters (Maplin sell them), however as others have pointed out the F-Type connector is usually used for satellite or cable.

I believe the connector on the left is just a screwless F-type connector. The right is an aerial connector. I'm not entirely sure why they're using that. Seems like more of a pain than it should be.
