Mouse: Kensington Pro-Fit (full size). I have large hands, don't do any serious gaming, and prefer simple mice with few buttons. I eventually found the Pro-Fit and it's perfect. They make a mid-size too, and it comes in wired and wireless (mine is wired).

Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2412M which is 16:10 and the extra screen space is nice. The stand is great quality, too. Has good color.

Audio Controller: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is primarily an input device, but also functions as an external DAC and amp.

Headphones: ATH m50. A good introductory "audiophile" headphone that most seasoned audiophiles have begun to sneer at, but still a great value for performance, and does not require external amplification (though it does still benefit from it). these are not gaming headphones, they are for music.

I have a simple and cheap Logitech 2.1 speaker setup that I'm looking to upgrade.

I use whatever keyboards I have lying around or find on sale

I have this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004P1IU5C/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1395322549&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40

I've had it for about a year or so and it's still working great. It has two mouse buttons, which is enough for me.

Kensington Pro-fit Full size is what I use. Great mouse for big hands, looks normal, there's a wireless version available as well, but the wired version is only 15 bucks.

After several Logitechs crapped out on me, I'm using a Kensington Full Size Mouse. It's the finest mouse I've ever owned.

They mean the full-size bit. This is not for people with small hands. If you thought the original giant XBOX controller was a great idea then this is the mouse for you.

I've been using this ($15) from Kensington since June 2012, pretty nice mouse. Comfortable, fairly large. Adjustable DPI (up to 2400) and two extra side buttons. Only buy it if you're right-handed.

There's also this ($12) cheap one from Cobra. Similar deal up to 2400 DPI. Haven't tried it.

If you want something nicer and similarly minimal, there's the G400 ($74) from Logitech. Goes up to 3600 DPI.

All of them have two side buttons and a middle button to scroll through four different DPI settings. Nice and sensitive. I know the Kensington and Logitech should be pretty comfortable unless you have tiny hands.

You can get a mouse similar to the G400, but toned down, only 1000 DPI, but a lot cheaper, here.

I think you may also want to look up the G500.

I've got this mouse that I feel is a pretty good deal for its price. I got it in the states for like $12 on sale. My keyboard right now is my buddy's old Razer Lycosa, but before that I had a Microsoft something-or-other keyboard... better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
