Kness Tip-Trap can be bought on amazon for $3.09 shipped from the seller EntirelyPets

I used this trap to catch a mother and her babies last winter , I then relocated them next to a field and timber nearby. I put peanut butter in the one end and then waited , every few minutes another one would come out onto the top of the stove and into the trap. I would hear the door shut and go and place it into a larger container and when I had a few I went and released them , I end up catching 10-11 total , all but one being a youngster.

but the book idea mentioned here works as Ive seen it mentioned online at many sites and you can most likely relocate them today. Also, if you have prime account with amazon you can get the trap in 2 days from another seller or amazon for a few dollars more, whereas the item from the above seller would probably take 3 or more days.

Alternatively, use these

If you're wondering, yes, they work.

If it stays for longer than a few minutes, it's living. I don't believe that mice range very far from their nest, but I could be wrong. They don't care about mess really: they're just trying to live too. Clean or dirty doesn't matter.

They don't really "eat" everything so much so that their teeth never stop growing, and they must always chew to keep their teeth from growing so large as to make it impossible to even close their mouths. Cute little animals, but goddamn annoying when they eat your favorite book.

Switch-traps that break their necks are, by the way, almost useless. One place I lived in had a serious problem with mice -- they ate an entire parka, several books, and a sundry list of almost everything in the house. We didn't catch one mouse with the regular mouse-traps -- but with a simple one-way-door trap we caught 14 mice the first night, and 12 more the next. More just kept moving in from the fields outside, but we trapped a great deal and re-released them from far away.
