This is what I did for my bedside lamp. Works great as long as the light has a big lamp shade.
I would not LED strip, its clumsy, lots of parts, and so on

I doubt it. However, you could run an E14 to E26 adapter, something like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Candelabra-Adapter-Converter-Convert-Chandelier/dp/B013QO15GE/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_60_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=K572MMASN34RDB1AZ692
I have a couple lamps (though they're E12, not E14, but the concept is the same) and use an adapter. They work great. They are not complex adapters and likely doesn't matter what brand you go with, as they're just connecting copper to copper. Only things you'd have to make sure of:
Hope that helps.
I used IKEA e12 smart bulbs that are supposed to be similar to Hue in functionality but they suck and I don’t recommend them.
They are E12 to E26 adapters available and that would let you use your Hue bulb(s).

I don’t have any in my house ever since I replaced the old ceiling fans with smart ones. I can imagine they’d be annoying
