No no no. If it's just the shutter squeak, it's fine. It cost me eight dollars for the oil I needed to do it myself, and I had the camera working fine in five minutes. There's a great video on YouTube that shows you step by step how to do it. It actually shows you two different ways; I opted for the first and easiest method.
The squeak itself isn't even really bad for the camera, it's more annoying than anything. How much are they charging you for the shutter replacement? That has to be way more than the value of the camera! Any chance you can cancel the order?
